    Lighting up Camp

Break out the lanterns for area light, maybe use the vehicle headlights if needed. Head lamps are useful too.

    Solo, Co-pilot, or Group?

Terrain dictates. If I'm out goofing around and exploring by myself, I am a lot more cautious. If something looks a bit sketchy, I'll check it out on foot first. If it's all good, I'll continue on. But if I'm not comfortable with what I see, I'll usually mark it to come back to later with...

R.I.P. Beloved vehicles that are now gone (wrecked, traded in,sold,or lost in divorce)

'92 Chevy. Got stolen Christmas weekend last year, which lead to me buying my Xterra. While the truck had its problems, and the Xterra is a far better overlanding platform, I do miss it sometimes.

Not sure why it posted like that for you. Click the Upload a File button, then Choose File. Once you upload your photo, it should give you the option of either thumbnail or full image, like this: Is that what you did? If so, did it not give you those options?

    Ask About Gaia GPS!

Used this for the first time on our trip we just got back from. Didn't do anything fancy with it, just imported my gpx file and drove on. I like it so far. I'll watch the video when I have some more time, thanks for linking it.

    Hammocks

I just picked up an ENO Double Nest hammock, and got the chance to try it out on our trip. It's very comfy. Didn't spend the night in it, cuz I'm not set up for that, but I am considering that as an option.

    Significant Other

She's all for it. We went together on the OB PNW Trail Run in August. We just got back from a trip through central and eastern Oregon. We go out on day trips all the time, sometimes in my rig, sometimes in hers, sometimes in both. She has a 2002 Jeep Wrangler, and has been thinking about...
