As I feared, the master cylinder can't move enough fluid for the larger brakes. It will stop the jeep and lock up the tires but the pedal needs to be nearly pushed through the floor.
So after talking to a few friends and some people in the industry that I still have contact with. It seems a Ram...
I don't often get pictures of my jeep on some of the tougher obstacles which is 1 reason I like this pic, but it was also one of those " getta do this" times. My wife was pregnant with our first son, and I got invited out on a 4 day trip to write a magazine article on the toughest trails in our...
My experiences with most vehicles can handle 1.5"-2" fine with stock control arms. It will be a steeper angle on the arms so you may feel it ride a bit rougher and you may have a little extra wear on parts like ball joints that will be riding at a slightly different angle. but all in all should...
I didn't know about Glue Tread until last summer. It looked interesting so I went home and did some more research and it seems like everyone likes it. it was actually an offroad recovery stand at event I was at that had them. I haven't managed to pick any up myself but its on my list lol.
One thing i did notice was when I pulled wheel off the drivers rear... things didn't look right lol. The pins were bent somehow, assuming that they seized and the caliper folded them over ( while I was driving I thought i had a dead caliper).
However with everything being swapped out anyway it...
OK I haven't posted on here in a while and figured I would throw up some updates. Nothing as I have had a lot of life changes and have been using my other vehicle more so it has been getting all of the attention.
I Haven't had it out as often as it should have been and it suffered some neglect...
been on here since 2015 band have a lower score than most, but can probably teach a few people a few things. Started more as a rock crawler with a liking for camping and so far have stayed pretty much the same. i scroll through and read, I do have another account that I stared about a year ago...
Hello! another LJ! lol. I have an 06 LJ too they work great!. I love death valley, I wish we had something like that near here.
here's some pics of mine!
There's nothing wrong the the patriot lol. I didn't take mine hard ore rock crawling but I put it through its paces and it handled everything quite well. Unfortunately it was written off so I have a compass trailhawk in its place.
The main this as long as you can get out and enjoy yourself, it...
I 100% agree with the above statements. Take your time and figure out what you need vs what you want. I have built up a few rigs and they end up overkill for what is a actually NEEDED vs what I wanted or though was a great idea at the time and it's cost me a lot of money in the long run. Get...
I run a cb in my Jeep because most groups I have run with in the past all ran CB. However in the last few years there has been a shift to GMRS and I recently ordered myself some new radios. I will leave the CB in for the times I run with the old crowd lol, but I will have the GMRS for most...
I usually bring a hammock but I have had issues finding trees close enough together near the water before. I figured I'd bring the small tent this time but had some issues speaking in because it was all rock. I just need to get there first next time lol.
