I am insulin dependent. I have to plan my meals at home, so hearing people grench about preplanning for a trip, makes me laugh. It is harder on a trip because your blood sugar is not solely controlled by the amount and type of food you eat. Stress, sleep changes, and varying energy...
My frustration with my LED lights is that they ice over and their pattern does not cut off vertically very well, blinding oncoming traffic. Efficiency is great but I am thinkin of adding some resistors inside the housing to melt the ice, killing the efficiency.
You know what they say... If you look out and can see Mt. Ranier...that means it is going to rain. If you look out and can't see it....it means it is raining.
I love my diesel heater. Mine is the same heater without the case and I mounted it in my teardrop. The city girl I married likes it.
Just for info, a 105 AH battery can run a 1000w heater for only about an hour before getting so low it is bad for the battery, so storing energy in batteries...
Yes, what you are describing is what is commonly called the Alpine Loop. I agree on the day 2 that Prerruner1982 proposed. Or optionally, Black Bear/Imogene loop.
Alpine Loop Day 1 is a nice one day loop. I would never run the trail half way and then back. I have done this probably 20 times over the last 40 years.
