    Offroad Trailer vs Offroad Teardrop

I looked at all the options for decades. I mostly camp alone (city wife) so I just slept in the back of the Cherokee. I am getting older (crap) and don't like sleeping on the ground and with bad knees, up and down a ladder isn't in the cards. I looked at building a small trailer, but then...

How do you carry your recovery boards?

Personally, I never have used or needed them in the last 50 years, but if they help for what you wheel... great. At least you aren't buying them to show off to the Mall crowd, and it is a nice well done way to carry them without the sun/UV cracking them all to pieces in a couple of years.

How about the time I secretly bought some Jeep parts and tried to sneak them into the garage and got caught.

What is your preferred shelter? (Rooftop Tent vs Ground Tent vs Etc...)

I prefer my teardrop. Once I get to an area, I can drop it off and go do trails that are impossible to do with it (aka Rock Crawling).

    Insulated Teardrops

I don't know about other, but I built my teardrop with 1" of styrofoam all the way around. I also run a diesel powered truck heater. You just flip the switch and set the thermostat to stay toasty. It vents to the outside, so no worries about carbon monoxide.

Overlanding with a CPAP; Power options?

All the cpap's I have had over the last 20 years had a 12v input and I only had to fab or buy a cord to connect it to the battery (cig lighter) Note: running the humidifier on most will limit you to the inverter route and radically up you power draw. I find the humidifier isn't usually needed...

Looking for a short cut... Colorado RMNP

Going east to west there are two ways over the top in RMNP. The first is Trail Ridge Road, a well paved and traveled, scenic route. Fall River Road is one way, but it is going up not down (East to West) and is a dirt road suitable for passenger cars with reasonable clearance.

    Overland Bound Founding Principles

I love your intro. I went to a school with 300 kids 1-12 and rode a school bus 36 miles each way to get there. Back in my time, kids worked on the farm along with the adults. I grew up operating and repairing machinery, welding and fabricating from 6 years old and rebuilt my first gas engine...
