Just watched your Midland radio YouTube post, loved it. Doing the exact same radio and setup soon. How's the sound without the speaker while it's in the console?
**EDIT** Making this a general post your recovery gear bag post. Feel free to share, and ask questions, tell us what you carry in yours.
Just thought I'd share my recovery gear bag. It's actually and EMS bag from First Tactical that I've repurposed. It's waterproof and highly configurable...
Freaking awesome setup man. I live near Raleigh NC and have damn near the same interests. I do a lot of work with Team Rubicon too. 2013 FX4 for me. Looking forward to seeing this build andaybe see you on the trails or the beaches in NC!
Lol I've got about the same timeline. I saw Elka made a lot of Toyota options to.. don't know a ton about them but it comes up a lot on the tundra forums. My biggest thing I've come away with is definitely get progressive not digressive unless you want the fire roads and low speed stuff to...
Lol have fun. I've been racking my brain and wallet over this for months with my F150. Initially was going to go full King suspension, 2.5's with resivors and hydraulic bump stops. I've now talked myself down to the Fox stage 1 kit which is 2.0's and a set of SPC UCA's. The reality is most...
Looks like the biggest issue is where you live. I tried searching my old zip code in NJ 07438 and had like 2-3 times the number of options. If you go F150 route, definitely stick with what you said. in 2009 they went to the 6 speed trans over the 4 speed. Fuel mileage is horrible pre 09...
Used RAM 1500 for Sale in Pembroke, ME - CarGurus
Used Pickup Truck for Sale in Pembroke, ME - CarGurus
These were two i just found quick. Not sure how it is buying in the states and taking over to Canada though.
Whats your budget for the truck if you don't mind mentioning? I've seen a lot of good info about the 14-18 Ram Rebels. Reliability seems great. I have a 13 FX4 with the 3.5 ecoboost. I'd possibly get the 5.0 over that now but like you said, its a crap shoot with the number they make on...
If you've got a full 4 people family, get a Full size crew/super crew pickup. It will easily trump the SUV. The interior passenger space is the same or more than an SUV, and your cargo room is WAY more. A rollup tonneau cover has served me well so far. If i needed more closed in space though...
damn man, awesome pictures and ride! I traded in my 2011 Outback last year for my current F150. Bought it from the same dealer you got the Forester from MtnRoo is good people. I live up near Raleigh if you ever need anything up this way and happy to ride with a Subaru. They are great cars to...
I don't know enough about the 4Runner to tell you if its just the beginning/indicative of an issue that will fail 30k miles from now or something sooner, but if you can do it yourself go for it. Otherwise, $700 is "cheap" insurance, especially with the kids when your 50 miles into the middle of...
I am trying to find solutions all the time to keep my bed covered. The other option if you have to leave it open would be to run waterproof totes and storage bags. It's not easy to do, but if you get creative its definitley doable.
Looks like Basecamp is at the sports complex near the outside of the field by the woods? They're planning on having food trucks and vendors there in the evening after everyone gets back along with the band there i think.
Thanks gang. Don't really feel like going down the HAM route as i have enough on my plate as it is. Looks like GMRS is the way to go. Saw a few Midland options that i liked.
Hey all, looking to add a radio for the rig, not really set on any type, but trying to figure out where most in the industry are going? I would have assumed that CB was the old standby but now i'm seeing things like VHF, MURS, Sattelite coms, Mesh networks etc. Is it worth it going the CB route...
