The vehicle Ford really needs to go after to generate sales numbers is the 4Runner. The biggest reason that the 4 runner does even remotley as well as it does is that its one of the only family size suv's with actual offroad capability.

So is the T4 a no go for 4 people with sleeping pads? I have myself, wife, 5 year old and a 1 year old to fit but I'm thinking a year or two from now when it's a 3 year old and an 8 year old trying to fit. I like the plus but it's double the tent and double the cost though.

congrats! 2013 F150 Fx4 here. Definitely see what your rig can do stock before you go ape crazy on it. The FX4 setup is pretty good to get you started for sure.

i'd avoid the 4.6 liter in the F150 just for the sheer lack of power. Its great in the mustang but your talking a whole different weight class..
