well i dug through the website and found a 512 number and got a very friendly guy (Jacob) on the phone.. and he seems to be moving stuff along for me.. so let's see if I can A. get a tent here.... and B. get it here on time to weld up the rack, powdercoat it and mount it... all before the 1st of...
I have a dealer less than 3 miles from my house... supposedly. but they dont answer the phone.. or respond to messages. so. I reached out to Roam directly. hopefully they will respond. soon. I need a tent to finish the rack to make sure the mounts align.
right now I am seriously leaning towards ROAM... but I can't get anyone on the phone. I know gordi has one in stock... but I am concerned about supply side and quality in my choice as we intend to build a few of these trucks.
but the rack is now in ready for welding... so I'm stoked. lol...
if you haven't read the thread I have a excursion (street rod truck), a 2018 f250 overlanding / haul truck, and a 99 land cruiser.
I had the 5100's custom valved by bilstein on the 2wd excursion... and run the 5100's on the land cruiser.. i think I am currently running the 5100's on the 250...
if you're going slow.. the 5160's are the way to go. the larger fox shocks are only workable due to heat build up from fast usage and the 5160's are pretty close.. ive run them and never regretted it.. and since the truck is mostly on road daily driver. I personally feel the money is better...
well its about a five hour run to austin from here... so... I was hoping to get a guide for the first time down there... but I've reconned so much in my life .. I might get down there a day or two early. depends on the fabrication company and the tent at this point.
True there is a reason the willies jeep was the size it was. I grew up in southwest Missouri where you can't get a dirt bike through the forests..
I was shocked when jeep came out with its new pricing. on a dollar for dollar basis.. at the new price points, and as we just agreed .. based upon...
great news on the Yamaha. I agree on the Hondas.. Mine have gone 5 years so far... and I have an remote fuel tank system that I got on amazon that runs them for 2 days. (them meaning the main and the companion). 10 gallon system. I might place the Honda's up for sale and get a larger...
Well as of today.. its been running about 137 days straight. the hottest day 112 reported, 130 measured on asphalt. the bed of the truck was 118.
I have it in the bed of a Ford f250, with a aluminum diamond back (bright not black) bed cover. it sits on a slide. I keep the cover on the...
