Yea you have to fully commit to do it which sucks because the cost.
I think part of it is demand. There isn’t much for relocating the CAC so the 2-3 companies that do it don’t have much competition to lower prices.
I’m not sure about custom intercooler setups but I feel like it is comparable...
I built a whole excel sheet to get a rough estimate what the weight is. I also had to factor that I am way heavier than the driver weight Ford used in their calculation.
Very curious on how my math would compare to actual when I go weigh.
I love the full size life. Super comfy while driving with plenty of room even with 4 people. Not only that but fully loaded I’m still within gvwr(if it’s just the wife, myself, and dog).
Good eye! I had no choice to do it since it was the only way to get a winch in there. I honestly haven't noticed since I didn't do the Forscan mod to see the temp until recently. We were out in the desert (roughly mid 90s) and it remained at a good temp. No noticeable power boost.
It has been awhile but a pretty big update to the big Blueberry.
It took a lot longer than anticipated, but got a RPG Prerunner bumper installed with a Baja Design Onyx6 40" light bar. Also got the warn 12S winch with Factor55 Superhook. Took it on a test run with some fellow OB members and...
This is how I set it up right now. It will rattle but never have had it fall off yet. It is a Proclip mount which has a Ram ball, long arm, and iPad mini mount. The bluetooth connection from the garmin to the iPad keeps track of my location.
Expensive but the Megamat Duo was a huge upgrade for us. Honestly don't really notice the airing up and down. When I get to a site, I usually chill for an hour or two before bed, and it usually fills up to the firmness I want (maybe a extra pump or two). I have to organize the sleeping bags...
I installed a ProClip USA mount on the center console with a Ram Ball mount and long arm for my iPad Mini. I use the mini when I want to do quick look at the map in another location or for my navigator to read my waypoint notes. So far on a couple of trips, it has worked really well. Some...
I use a proclip as a base for my iPad Mini. I then drilled into it a Ram ball Mount and use the long arm. I've taken it on a couple of trips and it works great. The no drill was easy to install.
Nice! Hopefully one it was on a day that the truck was actually clean and the pinstripes don't look too crazy! If you are in the area, we should go on a run one day.
Thanks! I'm loving the project more and more. I ended up not doing it. While at my in-laws shop for an oil change (gotta love a free oil change:grimacing:), I went to look at the transfer case and transmission. I honestly couldn't find it and don't want to drop the transmission just to extend...
Check out Kavanaugh Ridge. Not very difficult and a nice spot to see a small high altitude lake. Big enough that if it is crowded you can still feel secluded (was just there and there was 6 groups at the lake, but I still felt somewhat secluded considering)
So on Expedition Portal, the official Dometic account posted the recall letter and their stated "fix" for the recall: a warning sticker to not plug both in at the same time. Sounds like they will be offering refunds if you want to return. Not very happy with their idea of a fix, and will...
So I do most of my own maintenance, and luckily also have in laws that own a mechanic shop. The only time when I go to the dealership is for recalls and when it was under warranty. Its been a little over 2.5 years and 50k miles later, I had to come in for 4 recalls and 2 warranty issues. With my...
