I second Filthy Motorsports. I quoted out both Filthy and Accutune and hands down Filthy’s CS wins.
After placing the order and paying the $100 for custom valving, Ben, the owner, spent almost an hour on the phone with me two days later going through weight, options, what he thought, etc.
He...
Selling my Rigd Ultraswing Megafit. This is the multifit (5x4.5, 5x5, 5x5.5, 6x5.5, 5x100, 5x110, 5x150, 6x130, 6x135) that fits the 2” hitch. It will come with the table mount (Frontrunner table NOT included) as well as some mounts for a shovel. In good condition. It does have some scrapes from...
I got a Leitner on mine and love it. I do miss the security and dust proof of a tonneau sometimes, but so far the rack fits perfectly for what I do. Can’t go wrong with them.
Finished up the Cathedrals Valley Road at Capitol Reef. The rangers said that the road was impassable due due to deep sand and 4WD we’re getting stuck, but I assumed it was people who were unprepared or never off road before. Glad I did it.
That was the main reason why I decided to do it.
SVC installed it for me since the price of the dovetailing included installing the bumper. @Ncat build thread shows when he installed it but it looks pretty straight forward. We were going to install it ourselves on my truck, but I don't trust...
Wasn't planning on doing this upgrade, but @Ncat is a terrible influence on me. Dovetailed my truck bed and installed the SVC Mojave Rear Bumper. Very surprised how much I love this install. Huge increase in departure angle and clearance. Hitch was moved up by roughly 6" and I believe there was...
Definitely look into a hard shell for ease of setup. Soft covers are nice and affordable, but the up down to zip up the cover may be annoying for you. If you can see them in person and try before you purchase, I would recommend that.
Looks like an awesome trip. Death Valley took me by surprise on how amazing it is. How was Lippencott Pass? Heard mix things if a full size can make it through or not
For my application, I run hybrid/at. Now I will never do hardcore rock crawling, but I do like to get into moderate off-roading. It seems to be the best compromise since a trip for me consists of a balance of off road and asphalt.
Portable fridge is not needed but man it’s a game changer. It’s nice not worrying about ice or melted ice. It’s very difficult to go back since I bit the bullet.
Sound like your build is on the right track!
Like everyone said a stock bumper should be fine until you want to mount a winch. I ran with a stock bumper for awhile and had no issues on my F-150.
I only replaced the front when I installed a winch and I’m planning to replace the rear to get 6” extra clearance in the rear and get a better...
More updates than expected. Working on a project day with fellow OB member Ncat, I added some KC Gravity Pro 6 on some Rago Fab ditch mounts. The primary use of these will be for amber lighting during dusty conditions. I also trimmed some of the fender liner in the front to clean up the look a...
Not really. That is really the only one that I've been on other than Holy Jims but I don't think that is open. You have to drive up to Big Bear and that area for some good ones. I recommend Cleghorn Trail if you want to make the drive. You can pretty much stay on the "fire" road and also...
Maple springs is very easy. I use that route to get to the Main Divide since I live in that area. You don’t even need to air down except for comfort.
I usually air down because main divide can be rocky in certain sections.
My advice is to take corners carefully. There as some people who go...
