    Airing down with Snow tires?

I air my 33's down in winter a little bit. The one thing I worry about is going highway speeds for extended periods of time, so I air up prior to big trips. (under inflated tires can overheat and cause blowouts and /or tire fires - usually only see this on big rigs) For a smaller tire like...

    Heating for sleeping

I use the long hose and big tank as well.... and don't have the problems you note above. One thing I had to worry about during an initial start-up was how long I had to hold the "Pilot" button the first time. It would take a long time to pressurize the long hose I think.... but once the first...

camping and outdoor gear monthly subscription box?

There's a good chance that if you never knew you needed it... you DON'T need it. I'm in the process of slimming down my gear. Over the years we have gotten all kinds of "good stuff" that we figured we needed but in reality never (or rarely) use. For instance we had a great camp kitchen setup...

I need your Winter Camping Tips

No propane powered heater is 100% safe in an enclosed area. I've use my Buddy heater in my tent as well... but a large dose of caution is required. It IS fire inside a tent/vehicle after all. I didn't want to sound preachy but also wanted others to realize it can be VERY dangerous. I tested...

I need your Winter Camping Tips

Agreed. I also put a normal toque (knitted cap for you non-Canucks) over top of the balaclava and then my parka hood over top of all that. I typically sleep with the balaclava on too. The version that has the nose covered works better than the large round hole version. I prefer the large round...

    Air down...or else

Airing down PROTECTS your sidewall.... it bends around the sharp rocks rather than be punctured by them.

    Battery Recommendations?

I'm currently running 2 Optima blue tops... group 34.... 900 CCA. I've had the one for a number of years and the additional one I've had now for about 2 yrs. No problems. I have upgraded my alternator to a 200 amp alternator.... and also upgraded the Alternator Voltage Booster. The AGM's...
