I love mine, don't waste your money on the dividers or boxes. Best space is with out those. I have a softopper over the drawers and it makes a fine sleeping platform.
Mt Softopper blocks my factory 3rd brake light so I finally got around to installing one on the topper. Added a interior dome light and 12V/USB outlet while running wires.
KYB's have always been a good shock for me, with the right spring package you can eliminate the spacers. Deaver may have something that would work for you, longer spring with a 5-10% spring rate increase.
The interior storage is a very common complaint on the Colorado. I've added a inverter in the rear seat area, 12V/USB panel in the bed plus bed hooks. The Toyo bed rails are a nice option, wish Chevy did something similar.
Like any manufacturer there are lemons, I read all the truck forums and the Colorado line has no more complaints that any of the others. The common issues with the Colorado are the 8 speed trans shudder and there is a TSB fix that works on 90% of them. Electrical issues, harness chaffing...
With a 2" level you are near the oem height of the ZR2, 265/67 or maybe 265/70's should clear. Tire width and rim offset play a part in this. A 255/80 is 33" and clears a ZR2 with level and trim.
The air intake on my truck is in the wheel well, I noticed a lot of debris would get in the air box, leaves, bits of gravel and a ton of dust. After installing a snorkel it stays clean. I have a larger surface area for the filter media so it should have a minor performance boost. I limit my...
Many newer vehicles have a 150 amp +/- alt, most of these are controlled by the ECM/BCM. Research the compatibility of a higher output unit before buying. I found with my GM product I was better off with a larger battery, stock was a H6 with 750 CCA to a H8 with 1K CCA.
I have a 6' bed on my ZR2, Softopper over decked drawer system, light weight, large sleeping area. I use a Slumberjack if I'm going to be stationary more than one night. Softopper just came out with a extension tent for the 5' bed, allows you to leave the tailgate down for sleeping.
I've been using a Zeon 12-s for a few years and it's been flawless. Nice thing about a 12k is you still have good pulling power the last wraps of the spool.
The Pioneer Platform mounts directly to the towers, no cross bars. The towers are a 2 piece design and lock together, you get keys and covers to use when the rack is removed. Rhino has a "back bone" mounting now, didn't have that when I bought. Check the website for vehicle specific info.
About 2k to regear the Toyo is still a great bang for the buck. Makes a big difference, since it's not your daily you could go 5.30's, that seems to be popular on the Toyo forums.
Method has several styles with "Bead Grip technology" the bead area on the rim has three lips that grab the bead. As far as low pressures you can run 15 psi or even 10 psi and be fairly sure your not going to debead a tire unless you put a lot of side load on it. High speed corners at real...
