I like the fact it is rechargable. Unfortunately not waterproof. My pup would ruin it on the first hike with any body of water nearby. I am going to look into the chem light idea.

Tested the pit last night. Worked perfectly. Definitely need to add a small flat grill bottom in the future.

I'm thinking about trimming a small grill type base plate for inside the bottom of the pit. Like on a Webber charcoal grill. Something to put the kindling on.

I did not get the base plate yet. I think I will in the future. Along with the canvas bag. I have a lot of other gear to collect for our big trip this year. I couldn't spend all the cash on the accessories for the fire pit.
