Don, I too have a similar complaint and I am a the stage of a simple 1 1/2" foam mattress topper. It's good information to know that all those other things won't work too well.
I would love to have something as comfortable as my mattress at home, I think that's a bit too much to ask because it...
I see a theme going on here, back to the Boy Scout days... "be prepared".
Always good to have some extra, however from the plan the way you describe it, probably not essential.
Dan.
There are no "gates" entering DV, you pay the entrance fee at either Stovepipe Wells ranger station or the main one at Furnace Creek. There is no camping as far as I know near Badwater, look at the park boundaries and camp outside there if possible, it's pretty sparse if I remember.
There are...
This is a new Jeep JL going through, it's a video but I snagged a still image of it (that's why its crappy!)
It's running 285/70-17 KO2's for comparison, which is about a 33" tire.
I'm not sure that's the deepest spot, but it doesn't get much more than that.
He did say afterward that the...
@Joseph Mongillo last year at about that same time, end of March, we took several/many vehicles through. The lowest was a stock Chev Colorado. He made it without any problem.
I was there last weekend (3/4/18) and it seemed slightly deeper but still no problem for any of the trucks we had...
That really is too bad, sounds like they have a very different vision of how HAM can be useful in the public's hands.
I don't have any specific data, but it seems to me that HAM repeaters are actually on the increase (?) I'll bet I'm right.
My theory is that it has something to do somehow with...
@Niko Caignie good questions, this is always a topic of discussion in this forum, there's lot's of info but you ask the question from a different perspective.
It looks like EU or Belgium may have a different need or use for HAM radio use, is that true? What people say above is accurate, our...
I'm going this year, :sunglasses:, leaving Thursday, 17th oh, say 9~ish from Southern Cal, southbay area.
Probably can meet up with others along the way, google says it will take me 8 hours, likely longer towing a trailer and stopping for stuff.
Won't be there early enough to get the primo...
An update on the effectiveness of this little trick.
I've used it a dozen times now, and it is so much simpler than fighting with 6 D-Rings. I don't think there's a downside so far!
Especially when it's cold or wet, the buckles separate with a simple 'click', but the best part is clicking it...
It doesn't give me that option. It only began happening with the recent updates to the app. Previously it would keep me logged in always.

Every time I bring up the app in android, it makes me log in like I've never used it.
Samsung 7 edge.
Should I delete and reload the app?

@BogdanYZ welcome. That's kind of the fun part for me, but I live down south where there's more open desert for that kind of thing.
I've become very familiar with Google Earth and Google maps to find places, roads that exist with open spaces, look for places that have room, then go explore...
Not from there but I know of a few in that area.
Start a Rally Point to get something started, I'll bet you have people show up.
And don't be discouraged if it's not a big crowd, they tend to grow when you have them regularly.
Dan.
Quick search provided this on Window Socks
Advertised for 'baby protection from sun' but do a great job against mosquitoes and flies.
Not so good for heavy rain I'd guess and absolutely no security...
FWIW, YMMV.
