Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Made it out to the woods this weekend to test out my cold weather camp setup and it was a success, no frost bite! Really I think it only got down to the low 20's but I stayed nice a toasty sleeping in the Jeep. Me and a couple buddies went up to Bull Prairie Lake campground outside of Heppner...
Lot to see and do here in the PNW, if you come for a visit you might not want to leave. If I were planning a trip like this I would do as @JLLT4R said, come into Oregon on 95 to the Alvord Desert/ Steens Mountain area, explore there for a couple days then head north to the Ochoco Forest. From...
Mike, here's the jump pack I was telling you about. Boost Pack ES580. It's a couple years old so they might have a new model number but should be able to look up specs for this to compare. Anyone else looking at jump packs, I've had good luck with this one and it has enough juice to start my...
Tomorrow works, I'm usually up early-ish on the weekends. 9 a.m at Kahlotus Korners Shell station sound good? It's the gas station at the exit off of HWY 12 to head out the Pasco Kahlotus Hwy. towards Juniper Dunes.
Should have anything we would need to do it out there if you want to plan for that rather than borrowing a hoist. It is about a 20 min drive out there, not super far but also not real close if you forget a part at home.... I've done that a few times and wasted an afternoon I planned to be...
Like a 2 post for lifting the whole pickup or just something to lift the bumper?
To lift the bumper we have a few things we could use, forklift would probably be the easiest or an air lift for raising the front end of a vehicle. We do have a 2 post lift but it isn't heavy enough for bigger...
I should be around Saturday if you need a hand, just let me know what time. If the weather turns to crap we can always bring it out to the shop and do it inside.
It's not a 2 door, but it is 21 years old. '00 WJ 3" lift (soon to be 4.5") 33's, 242hd t case swap, trail Forged stubby bumper with custom wings, home built rear bumper/tire carrier, rear seat delete with storage boxes and more to come this winter.
Not totally finished yet but here is an update on my storage box setup. It's all made out of 3/4" MDF and then covered in outdoor carpet. These should gain me a fair amount of storage for things that usually stay in the Jeep like tools, recovery gear and some basic camp stuff. My plan for the...
Thanks! Trying to keep this winter's mods geared more towards overland and not as much for wheeling, but with the lift springs plans might change. Might be some other suspension upgrades and lockers in the Grands future.
I'd be down to come out as long as the decision maker doesn't have plans for us that weekend. I better get to work on the WJ, Santa brought me some new 4.5" lift Clayton off road coils! Now I gotta decide next step/direction to go with my suspension so I can get them on.
I also got my storage...
I really like the way you made the pockets for your rock lights, might have to steal this idea whenever I get around to building my sliders. Are you going to hook those lights into the door striker so they come on when you open the door?
No new comms for me but I have been working on my rear seat delete/storage box/Tinkerbell platform/ solo trip sleep platform. Got one box all done, just need to add hinges and carpet the other one.
