Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Yep, same map I found the other day when I was looking for info. Doesn't look like too big of an area that's closed , still lots of trails to the west and south if you don't mind smoke.
Anyone been over that direction since it started and know how smokey it is? I saw an air quality map...
Ya I checked again this morning also in hopes they would have some updates. Must not be too big or out of control since I haven't even seen that one on the news.
@Ceg, looking at your website and pictures you seem pretty familiar with the trails in that area. What trails up there do you think would be passable for a WJ on 33's with open diffs? Naches Pass? I haven't been on the real trails in that area in 15+ years so I don't know the conditions, I've...
Gotcha. I've been wanting to run the Naches Pass Trail, not sure how the WJ will do with open diffs and 33's but I would be interested in tagging along if you're heading up on a weekend sometime.
Where did they have the road closed when you were up there? At the turn of for NF19/ Little Naches Road?
Looking at the forest service map they have most of the little Naches area closed right now, but I read this morning that the fire is 60% contained so hopefully they can get a handle on it...
That's too bad, any idea when your schedule changes to weekends off?
With college football canceled I should have more free weekends (season ticket holder at WSU) this fall so we should plan for a fall trip once some of the fires die down. I have a couple routes I've been looking at that...
I'm up for ideas on where to go, I just have to be back Sunday morning. I've been to most of the spots in the Naches area a couple times this summer and just ran all of Skyline so somewhere new would be fun. As for ground clearance, I'm fine with FS roads or BLM green dot roads, the few green...
Anyone up for some adventure next weekend? Day trip or over night. The wife is gone on a girls trip so I'm free from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning. I was planning to do a trip from Hwy 410 up and over the hills to Cle Elum then up to Leavenworth and back down to Ellensburg but had...
Made it up to the Blue Mtns. this weekend with @JL Lou, we headed south out of Dayton on Skyline Rd. and went all the way through to Tollgate with a little detour to the east to a cool look out spot. Ended up covering around 90 miles for the day, not anything challenging just a nice Sunday...
Yep, looks like it'll be just us unless we have some folks decide to come last minute. We can meet up in Burbank and head out. There is the Sun Mart gas station just south of the round about when you take the exit for Burbank, meet there at 9? Or do you want to get an earlier start than that?
@JL Lou and myself are gonna head over and run Skyline this Sunday if anyone is interested. We'll go at least as far as Table Rock then come down into Walla Walla or if we are good on time we'll run all the way down to Tollgate. Don't have a meet up time or location set yet, but probably roll...
I would have to pull it apart and take the bumper skin off, but if you would like I can get you measurements and some better pictures of how I built the mount. I just looked through what I took when building it and I didn't take much. But if you are wanting to build something similar before...
Having the new swing out tire carrier and basket for the water jug was a big plus on my last trip. I'll try to get some kind of write up together on mine in the next couple days. If you like it and can weld, it worked pretty good.
