Thanks G.
Stage 1 Hilton Tune to come but probably not until next fall earliest. There's just too much else I want/need to do first beginning with suspension overhaul and tranny cooler, then more lift, illumination, etc.

Thanks Steve!
The kids easily had their best trip yet, which--you guessed it--means that I had my best trip yet! The wagon continues to amaze me as well. These things are remarkably capable and we didn't even get them close to their limits this time. Looking forward to a return trip in the...
PART III: BALD EAGLE TRAIL RUN
After a wonderful steak dinner cooked by yours truly Saturday night, we packed it in to rest up for Sunday. Antherzoll and I planned to run a pre-prepared a Gaia GPS route that Overland Bound's own wawaskittletits was generous enough to share with us the next...
PART II: CARLISLE INVASION
We arrived at Carlisle and I quickly busted out the awning and set up shop as people looked on with amusement and curiosity.
Snack was of course in order
After that we strolled the field looking at cars and met a few folks. Prolix was working at a stand...
Well it's been an absolute whirlwind of a week since returning from PA in the wee hours Monday AM, but it's high time for an adventure update!
INTRO
Myself, Swedespeed's Antherzoll, and ProlixArgon set out for our 3rd Volvo Campout, this time setting our sites on Bald Eagle State Forest, and...
I think this is a cool idea, but would be extremely difficult to pull off such that is was both a success from the customer satisfaction and ROI angles.
Overlanders and outdoor adventurers are picky folks. As a niche-demographic I would argue that we are going to be hard-pressed to buy into...
I'd say I'm at about a 70/30 ratio of DIY to local mechanic.
My General "rule" (if I have one) is that I do all my mods, and basic preventative maintenance. This makes having a European car a slightly more affordable proposition than it would be if I relied on others for all mods and...
That's what ya gotta love about taking kids on outdoor adventures from a young age. They learn that things don't always go exactly as planned, and how to handle themselves in the event that they don't.
This creates highly agile, adaptable, and capable kids who aren't afraid to engage with the...
That's exactly how I got the Primus above. Been rolling with a MSR whisperlite international for years as a backpacker, but once I had kids and got into overland a stouter more capable 2-burner was a must.

Just bought a Primus Tupike Dual Burner. I'll be starting a new thread about my recent basecamp reboot and reviewing it (and several other new products) shortly, but suffice to say initial impressions after my first trip with it are quite favorable:

Hahahahaahaha [emoji1305][emoji16].
You know what, I've considered editing the initial post with a "Modifications & Accessories to Date" section. I'll use my reply here as practice.
As she sits currently relevant mods and accessories include:
- Bad Swede 52mm Lift Kit
- P2 XC90 Front Axle...
I'll be posting about this trip soon enough, but long-story short, you are right to be "iffy" about it. I can't say it's a good idea nor can I say it will live inside the car regularly. I added a whole ton of good stuff on the base camp/vehicle preparedness front this season (more later...) but...
Packed to the fucking gills for our first legit trip of the season. Bunch of new trails, shit ton of new gear to put through the ringer, good company. What more can one ask for???
See y'all one the other side . . . [emoji1365]

Man such great picture ugggghhhh it's killing me.
When I was 19 I lived out there in Portland. I hiked up to Multnomah Falls tripping on Mescaline Tabs. Still have a picture of me standing below the falls holding my hands up with long hair looking like Jesus.
It was a different time in my...
Thanks man!
Sort of just a rando edit straight off the camera roll to show the OP the 7+'s capabilities. It's absolutely limited if you plan to print your work, need genuinely high quality image output, need excellent dynamic range and color reproduction, or are shooting open shutter/low...
Thank you man.
Assuming you are not an android devotee, I can't imagine you'll be disappointed. Everything about it works really nicely. The larger size was a bit awkward for me the first couple of weeks coming from the tiny (by comparison) SE, but after a month and change of use it's no...
Here are a several quick pics I dug up all taken with the 7+ (resolution will be compromised by Tapatalk upload compression, but hopefully you get the point :-)

Glad to be helpful.
As for the newer phones: The iPhone 7+ has a REMARKABLY better camera. It's actually kind of absurd how high the quality is. The twin-lens depth effect and optical zoom are game changers. Way better sensor too.
I upgraded when I lost my SE digging myself out on the trail...
I am a professional photographer with like 10k+ worth of gear I use for client shoots. I occasionally shoot 4K documentary shorts as well.
But with a handful of exceptions, all vehicle-related photo and video content for my build thread(s), Vimeo, and IG is shot with either an iPhone SE, or...
