First I want to say, I was not sure what section to post this in, It didn't seem to fit in Photoshare, because it is about equipment. I didn't know if it would fit in Basecamp gear section or rig gear section, so here it is. LOL. If somebody thinks it should be moved all good. But please don't merge it with another thread if there is one. That just gets to confusing when Im trying to figure out something, and thats why I posted this thread.
All right already, get on with it would ya?
Am wanting to get some camera and video equipment.
Im not a photographer or videographer. I don't want something fancy, expensive and complicated. I want something that takes decent videos and photos so I can post em on youtube and forums and on a website.
My truck has a GoPro mount on the windshield, and I would like to utilize this, I am thinking of getting a GoPro session. Does anyone have any experience with this camera, and can tell me honestly how it works and is it any good?
Also looking to get a couple point and shoot kind of cameras, would like them have a pretty good optical zoom and would like them to be able to take video.
I want something that is fairly simple to operate and not interested in Kodak and what they have done with their stuff.
I was wanting to get a Cannon Rebel system, but that isnt in the cards for right now.
So, a call to all you experienced photographers, can you point me in the right direction for an equipment starting point.
