Its tough trying to build the perfect vehicle for all conditions. Originally we had a long travel for explorer but, but we were lacking space and comfort.

The explorer was great for local trips around CA, NV and AZ. Lacking long distance range and comfort we sold it and bought a 2016 crew cab Cummins from dennis dillion dodge in ID

We got a great deal and had a fun little road trip driving it back 800 miles to CA.

We actually bought a active cargo system and carli suspension before we owned the truck. Installed out cargo system and our front runner outfitters rtt. One week later we hit the road for our honeymoon, 2 week trip covering 9 states, and putting over 5,000 miles on our brand new truck!

First nights camp outside Las Vegas. It was quite fun getting to that location, 2am on a narrow trail stock truck. Being tired and dark after having the trucks suspension maxed out and teetering we decided to call it a night and make camp. The view was great!

Next day we headed to Utah to hit Bryce Canyon and had a hike planned in Escalante. Its safe to say that neither locations disappointed.

The hike we did was to lower calf creek falls. About 3 miles each way, well worth it!

Next camp spot was just outside Grand Junction CO. Had some great views on the way.

Pulled into camp pretty late, not really knowing the terrain this is what we woke up to.

It was a great spot just over the CO border from UT, the fog was amazing. Back on the road to enjoy a very senci drive through CO that neither of us had seen before.

Next stop was to meet some friends and crash at their place near Denver. We also went to golden for the coors tour and free beer! The next we had to checkout red rocks amphitheater, and did a great hike in Boulder.

North towards WY, there is not much to see through the plains, found out something interesting the truck. Cruise control will not work over 85 mph, the speed limit was 85 in some places. Next night we camped outside Rawlings at a free BLM campsite.

The spot was beautiful, nice was a crisp 20°.
We headed towards Yellowstone knowing some parts of the park would be closed due to winter.

On our way up to Jackson hole

Jackson hole is a beautiful town i would highly recommend it. Ate a local restaurant and took a drive up to the Tetons.

After the tetons we headed south back through Jackson hole, Northern roads were closed for anticipation of winter. Next state was ID to visit some family and a fresh bed and shower!

Woke up in ID Idaho falls at a koa, we were having trouble finding a good free spot to camp and the wifey wanted to take a shower, so it was worth the 20$

Not having a fully planned out trip is the best, saw a road sign for the potato museum and we had to go!

Safe to say that our family in ID have a pretty sweet setup, this was the veiw from the hilltop on their 80 acre property, fun little quad ride.

When we were up there we saw a herd of about 40 deer, they also have elk (elk is delicious!).

Of course when in Oregon definitely can not pass up Deschutes Brewery. We headed south to checkout Crater lake. Were having trouble finding a place to camp, ended up in Annie creek BLM area. Couple pictures the morning after.

Unfortunately when we got up to Crater lake it was covered in fog and we were not able to see anything, i guess we will have to go back!

We headed towards Ashland hit another brewery on a recommendation from a friend. Ashland is also a great little town.

Crashed at friends house in Portland after doing the upper half of the Oregon coast.
Went to the Vista house on the Columbia River.
Its one of the most expensive rest stops in the the country back in the day and its still functional.

There are many amazing waterfalls in OR went to Multnomah Falls and many others.

Neither of us had done much of the Oregon coast so we really took our time, the iconic Cannon Beach.

Best MPG we saw on the trip, but since then i have seen much better, not too bad considering we are pushing around 7500lbs.

I was thinking that beach looks just like the one from Goonies... then the coffee shop sign. Very cool!
