Just plain old black Plastidip. It just peels along the edges of the emblems perfectly itself assuming you apply it properly. I was skeptical too, but it works!

10K miles and still have little hairs on the tread blocks. Not too bad if you ask me. YMMV. They are heavy as all get out though. Takes an effort for my turbocharged 5-banger Wagon to get em

In all seriousness though, it might serve you well to check out something a bit less conventional from Subaru or The Swedes based on the wishlist above.
