My son is 3 and hes been exploring in tbe truck since before he could walk. I find the most excellent thing is having a group of friends that are cool with him hanging out with us. Besr thing was i found i got out more often when i have dad days during the week.

We camped last week in a 3/4 season tent. It was -27 celcius. I slept in socks, long underwear, a hoodie and a toque. Put a mummy bag inside a rectangle bag and slept through the night. Not much you can do to warm the inside of a tent without propane or something. We had a candle lantern...

How many 1 lb green tanks did you go through in a weekend? If the answer is " more than 5" you probably need a bigger than 5 lb tank. Im considering a 5 lb tank as well. Never gone through more than 2 green tanks in a weekend. That was heavy use. Id rather fill up a 5 lb tank more often...

I also have had no problems with my uv-5r. Not the greatest at 5 watts, but tbe new ones are still $40 and are 8 watts.

A big blue jug and a gravity filter and a handfull if loose nalgene bottles. Never even had to use the filter. I think im bringing too much.

I have 2 cheap amazon lights. 6/10 quality. All i care is that they use the 18650. If one or both get lost, no biggie. Usb charger keeps them topped up in the truck. They have a few modes and can zoom from spot to flood. Work as wellas my buddy $60 light. But they were 2 for $28.

I mean a black box that uses propane or charcoal to cook food. We use propane during fire bans, but charcoal is acceptable in those situations too.

At the landfill there is a under carraige pressure washer. I always find an excuse to go to the dump after getting muddy.

One guy has a subaru. He drives it well, but he carries lots of spare parts. Never been the weakest link though.

It was invite only, but its tough to not invite people that cane the year before. And new people always want to come too. I dont want to plan more big trips. Maybe two groups opposite directions that meet in the middle for a night.

This is my 2nd one. Handset quit on the first one. It worked well until then. You do get what you pay for, and this was under $100.

I put all my stickers on these thick magnets. That way i can move them around or represent however i want. Or go comando. I dont really rock the product stickers much. More events or organizations. Pics to follow in the daylight.

Finally mounted my vhf. Nothing crazy. A 25w kt-8800. Been good weather so getting lots done. Sorry for lousey pic. It was dark.
