Im thinking about something like this for my fj. It works with anything with a spare tire on the back. Options to carry whatever or diy a bracket. Easy on the wallet.

Here are a few more pics of mu coastal offroad bumper build. The bumper comes flat in a box.
After the stock bumper is gone, the mounting plate gets bolted on the stock location
Next is the 2 side plates in factory holes. Bolt to the frame then tack.
The winch mount plate goes inand...
Any write up would just be the same as the instructions. I can post some more pics of the progress if you want. I can't weld either, but i have friends who weld professionally and jumped at the chance to work with new and clean steel. What kind of truck are you putting a bumper on?
Removed the old bumper so we could tack up this kit from coastal offroad in delta,bc. It went together so nicely. Price was great for a great product if you dont mind a little diy.
Something like this. Its a kit from coastal offroad in bc canada . $600 cdn. Weld and finish it yourself. Well under 100 lbs. 76lbs without any of the tubes. Im just getting the centre hoop. Not a fan of evil eyes.

Not my truck in the picture. Took it...
No bull bar. Full bumper is my plan. Also, i think the airbag system on the fj does not use impact sensors, but a sensor that measures speed of de-celeration. So no aftermarket bumper really messes up the airbags. Thanks for the input. Ive seen lesser bumpers accidently damaged or totally...
Im browsing in firefox mobile on android. The mobile chat bubble in the lower right corner gets in my grill sometimes. Any way to remove it? I looked around but didnt see anything obvious.
Thanks.
Heres my 09. Gonna start a build thread soon. In the mean time this will do.
Crusin' offroad sliders
Okanagan expedition aluminum skids

Duratracks
Ome lift (installed after this pic)
Around here many winter camping options are very dependant on the year. Brown christmas in the okanagan this year, so many more options than usual. Even rig dependant too. Cool idea though. Id like to know more rad spots, summer or winter
Merry christams back at you and all the others. I didnt even start my truck today. And thats ok. Looking forward to some winter adventures and camping before new years. Safe travels all.
My amazon 2for 25$ led flashlights use the same 2x 18650 size batteries as sweet lights. They are just as bright. Tolerances are lower but i dont care if the get lost or broken. A full year later and i just cant lose them. Expensive things seem to dissappear. Cheap alternativez hang around...
Facebook only. If there was a better/other way to communicate/plan with groups of my friends id ditch facebook too. Youtube as viewer only.
And Overland Bound. It counts .
I used to use a small thermarest type thing. Now i use a bigger one. 2+ inches thick and full length. A real game changer. Takes up a bit more space but worth every bit. And a pillow. A real pillow.
Im also trying to lighten up packing thr fj, or atleast make room for different stuff. Gonna ditch the small propane bbq for a small burner. The bbq frequently stays in the truck anyway and we fire cook.
