Hello fellow overlanders, I’ve got a gen4 2004 4Runner sport edition. My center diff lock works fine, however I have a green light with all 4 wheels constantly lighten up, and the 4lo light is flashing and beeping while in gear. I don’t hear the actuator trying to engage or disengage. It feels like it is in 2hi though. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

has to be in neutral or the computer will go crazy , if it still won't switch change the t case fluid and give the actuator a couple wacks with a chunk of wood and then try again. had the same issue on my sequoia because I'm fairly certain 4 low was probably never used b4 I had it. Took 3 times of giving it a couple wacks , trying to switch to 4 low , drove it around , gave it a few more wacks . once it finally engaged I never had a problem again . just make sure to cycle through the 2wd,4hi,4low once a month to make sure everything stays lubed up and operating properly .

This! No matter the manufacture you need to exercise the different gear sets once a month or so.
