So here's my improved crossbars to carry my ladders for work. It seems a lot better than putting them on the Rola, primarily because the stock crossbars don't inspire any confidence in me. I really wish the stock rails weren't aluminum... They are the weak link along with whatever holds them on...
I have Quadra Trac II in my Jeep and I had no issues with the t-case. My catalytic converter on the other hand was the issue!

You and me are on the same level man. I've been thinking everything you said for sure. And I've always been cool slumming it and building things myself.
A little update: I bought all the parts I need for about $50. I'm going to overbuild this thing! Steel 1" square tubing, grade 8 bolts, and...
Oh I'm very familiar with Frontrunner! I love that rack but it's so outside my price range right now. But I guess it could be a "business expense" [emoji6][emoji41] Good recommendations though! Maybe if I can justify it for work now I can make it happen. It's just a lot of cash...

That's what I envision as well. And stronger crossbars would be a little better for the basket as well. Someday I'd like to invest in a small tool trailer. That would haul my ladders most of the time. Or I'll get wild a buy another pickup to work out of. But for now this has to work.

They're brand new. Just had the lift installed a few weeks ago. I just gotta find time to grease them.
And I'm sorry I may have been unclear. It's not the Sway Bar bushings it's the end link bushings. They're new from IRO with the lift. And it's only the passenger rear ones.

Not much adventure lately. But I have been working on starting my own construction business and I'm working the fun-vee. Now I'm thinking of selling my roof basket and making some stout crossbars to carry my ladders on.... Anybody have some ideas? I've found some Square aluminum tubing that is...
Howdy. Sorry it's been awhile. Ive determined with some expert advice it's my Sway Bar ending bushings. And I can also say Silicone based spray doesn't help. It may even make it noisier... If I get some time I need to pull it apart and do as you say. Just grease the little buggers. I wish they...
I'm so used to driving older vehicles I kind of just accept sounds that seem "normal" but I agree. If it's bushings, and ones I want to replace anyway, I can deal with that. Bad thing is my wife freaks out over noises.... Oh well.

Thank you! That is great information and makes perfect sense. It got worse today and the temp dipped below 40. I bet it's a combination of this and those shocks.

Hey glad to find your thread. Yeah post pictures and ideas! I always like seeing what people come up with. And I think the WJ will serve you well. Already have about 3 oil changes in mine haha.

Looking good! Those things are all usually overlooked. I love throwing tools in the spare tire well now that I have a full size. It's messy but I do have some good stuff back there. And it's out of sight.

The shop I had do the lift paint marked everything and I've been keeping an eye on that. The ones I've checked don't look like they've moved but I need to look closer. And yes Addco. The only greasable thing I know of is my JKS Quicker Disconnects and I'm sure they're past due. If I can upgrade...
I like the idea. And no it was fairly quiet before. It's also noisier in the cold and get a little quieter after I drive a bit.

You know that makes sense. I thought for sure it's the shocks but now I'm not as sure. After driving on this lift about a thousand miles or so, I'm sold on getting a bigger rear sway bar. This thing is really goosey in the wind and maybe some of those bushings are worn out.

I finally got to flex it out with the lift on! I was in a hurry though and didn't experiment with my Sway Bar discos. The front hasn't rubbed with the 32's but you can see how the back tire stuffs right up there. Maybe I should research trimming... One interesting thing is the IRO Doestech...
Went for a drive a few days ago. Only found one minimum maintenance road but a the trees were beautiful so not a complete loss.

Got some black covers for the JK wheels. No real purpose but I love the look! And with bigger tires I'm really sold on this lift. Drives great and I'm used to the steering now. Now if I could just find a place to flex out and disconnect my Sway Bar! That's the rough part about living in the city...
