    New to the overland community

It is. I wouldn't drive a Corvette down this road, but a 2WD van or truck would be fine.

    New to the overland community

The area around Brown Mountain and Linville Falls is a nice place to start. Either I-40 to Morganton and then North, or US 421 to Boone and head Southwest. Brown Mountain Beach Road, check out Wilson Creek, stop at Betsey's Ole Country Store for conversation on the porch, Edgemont Road...

    Off-road trailer upgrades

Good points. Recommendation - use music as a backdrop when showing video, but stop the music whenever there is narration involved. I liked the way you stopped the music at around 5:50. Plenty of ideas. Subscribed.

US West FREE Overland Pros ground tent

This looks like a clone of the Oztent.

What happened to Red Rock Camping Company?

Agreed, but my point was that Oztent may have outsourced to a Chinese manufacturer, who in turn sold re-labelled clones with Red Rock labels to Red Rock. Sharing your IP with a CHICOM company is the equivalent of leaving your car running while you go into a 7-11 at night - don't expect sympathy...

What happened to Red Rock Camping Company?

If they were Red Rock was making knockoff clones of Oztents, then good riddance. If Oztent out-sourced to a company that decided to sell off-brand knockoffs on the side, then Oztent did it to themselves.

Why did I get a dual zone Dometic fridge/freezer? What will I freeze?

You could freeze ice packs for others in your party still using coolers.

The upgraded chair bags made by Storm solve the issue, for a price.

Severe Over-Land "Trail Rash", do you say; "oh no", or "who cares"?

Pinstripes from a Tennessee carwash are the validation of the Overland Bound badge. As long as they don't expose the metal to paint, no problem.

Any recommendatios for a foldable camp chair

+1 on the Kermit chairs. The optional bags are a must if using the extensions and cup holders. Great chairs, very comfortable, and they fold down into a handy size for storage.

    Gazelle T-8 Tent

Depends on how much room each person wants. The T4 has room for four mummy bags with backpacking mats under them, or one queen air mattress with room for duffles and gear.

Thule / Tepui Autana 3 Ruggedized: My Observations

The challenge is finding a tent "manufacturer" that manufactures tents, rather than ordering them from a third world provider and then shipping them off as they arrive on the container ship. They don't build them, so they can't fix them.

    Eastern Tennessee camping?

Indeed. But there are plenty of carpetbaggers who seek lower tax bills, move to Tennessee, and immediately push to make it feel like their old home. "Why can't I get a Martini with dinner?" "Why are stores closed on Sunday?" "Why does my neighbor keep inviting me to church on Sunday?" If...

    Eastern Tennessee camping?

If Shady Valley, Elizabethton, or Mountain City are part of your property search, you may want to consider Little Oak Campground on the eastern shore of South Holston Lake. Just know that that is one of the most conservative parts of the United States.

US East Running the Trans America Trail (TAT) from WV to the OR coast

Maybe tweak the OB software so that signing up for something "invests" a certain amount of member reputation, showing up gets the amount back, fully participating doubles it, and cancelling loses it.

The Great Chip Shortage / What Happens Next ?

That's because MSRP is artificially low and hasn't caught up with the market. It will.
