So bouncing around some ideas of my upcoming dual battery setup. I'm leaning towards putting in the spare tire well in the back. Seen it done before and works good. This would also give a little more weight towards rear axle for traction.
Gonna add an old power converter I already had for...
Id rock it out. My vehicle before this was an Oldsmobile Alero, had a trailer hitch and all
I would use it to go down forestry roads and service roads when hunting.
Even got it stuck one time in a soy bean field. (not intentionally driving through it don't ask)
Just fyi, a lot of junk yards have batteries cheap from cars they receive.
While I'd get a new one if I could, a cheapo used might get ya a little more juice for the fridge. Then when u get the $ just swap it out for the new deep cycle.

Very cool, and practical. I could see this being put to use if you ran into trouble in a dark area. Gotta be able to see how to work on it. Love it.
Nice rig, keep it coming.
Just Googled it, your right rears are upside down. Not sure if it matters either. But I'm gonna switch em.
Thanks nice catch.

Well a 2wd lift kit and a 4wd lift kit are exactly the same, minus the transfer case drop. (2wd don't have one).
This is basically a hybrid I pieced together. Got the Iron Rock arms off a Facebook group at a good deal, the Shocks and trackbar and sway links are Rough Country, and got the coils...
So if I don't find some good cargo storage option to fit the rear cargo of the my Grand Cherokee, I plan to build my own.
The question: How do you guys keep your gear (camping, recovery etc) quite?
It's an old lifted jeep so i'm okay with a little noise, just wondering if you guys had any tips...
Got it all wrapped up today, and just need to do a Toe-in alignment which i'll work on in the next few days.
Then tires, and cleaning up those ugly cut lines on the fenders, and paint.
-Its not squatting just took the pic holding the camera unlevel.
Also found this moisture build up on rear axle / rotor area not sure if seal leak or the old shock was blown. So ill take a look at that when Locker goes in, in a few days. (hard to tell in pic.)
So the only major complications i ran into were the shocks (RC). They forgot to send all hardware so i had to make a run for some bolts, nuts, washers etc for the lower section of the front shocks.
And whatever engineer designed the WJ front top shock mount location is a idiot :rage:
Sprayed all control arms down with pb blaster ahead of time. This stuff works miracles.
Then took the impact wrench to them. If you don't have an impact I highly recommend it, makes jobs much easier.
Started the lift yesterday but didn't finish before i had to go to work.
I want go into a lot of details as it's fairly basic and i'm not the best with words anyhow.
Apps working now for me.
Notification appears until I unlock screen then it's gone.
