Where did you get the Overland Jeeps patch? I need one of those! And the dealer will sell you headliner sound mats that stick to the top of your hard top. It's what I stick mine too.
I have to ask, do you get any glare from the already bright orange hood, when you turn on the light bar being that close to the hood? I would think that would blind a driver?
We'll be launching the store, channel etc, in early 2017. Patch proofs arrive tomorrow and will look like the proof image below. (Velcro backed) So much to do and so little time. Stay tuned!
Another update. I wasn't happy with my power supply even though I'm running dual batteries upfront, topped off by solar. I wanted to beef up the system to support the charging of filming and photography equipment, and running power to a future trailer climate system, fridge, hot water heater...
I'm running a CVT Mt. Shasta and I have a pretty decent amount of space up front. The only thing you have to watch out for or live with is the window awning rods won't fit if you mount stuff up there and intend to leave it mounted like my cans (below) while the tent is open. Personally I'm ok...
Ditto. I'm running spacers on 33" Nitto Trail Grapplers because I wanted to use the stock Hard Rock rims. No problems at all as long as you get a quality set.
I'm running this thing from Amazon and it works pretty well. I'm looking to integrate something more into the cubby spaces of the JK though that will let me carry more.
I know this has been out for a while, and I was eagerly waiting the day it launched, but just wanted to add my two cents that you guys (over all of the adventures) have inspired me more than you will ever know. It is because of Xoverland that my boring day job is now giving way to actually...
I feel your struggle. My boxer is only 60 lbs but I still have to carry her up and down the ladder. It helps that I'm tall but it's still an adventure each time.
Hello,
I'm wondering if there's an ability to change user name on the forums. I'm working towards some bigger overlanding things and would like to have that reflected on the OB forums. It seems to me that it used to be there but maybe I'm missing it.
Check out Bomber Products. They specialize in awning mounts that are tough to find. I'm running a Gobi stealth rack and I was having a terrible time finding something that would let me mount a rear awning. Pretty much anything you need as far as mounts...
I'm in the early stages of planning a trip from Delaware up through to St. John's, NL, Canada. (And back of course.)
There are places I definately want to hit and I've been to Maine before, but I'm looking for recommendations for getting off grid and remote (legally) as possible all the way...
