First camping trip of the season was a huge success. Tent power through the SPOD ran LED lights in the tent as well as charged the cell phones. It was beautiful out so we chose not to put the screen room around the awning. Both the slide out grill and fridge performed flawlessly. The...
Threw the RTT up on the Jeep today along with the awning. And by "threw" I mean failed to use my hoist to lift it up so I grabbed a neighbor for help. I need to re-engineer how this thing comes on and off, but until I do, it's staying up there all summer. Bye-bye any remaining gas mileage.
Ran power from my SPOD back to the roof top tent and then fitted the roof top tent with LED strip lighting (dimmable, color selectable) and USB charging ports. Pictures to come soon on the build page. Been busy with lots of upgrades just haven't posted.
Just wondering if anyone is planning to attend the mid-Atlantic overland festival this year in PA?

This will be my first year attending. I'm looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time because I know how much work I have to do to my Jeep before I go.
Added a Rugged Ridge Hi-lift jack mount to the back. Nice and secure and solid, but a pain in the ass to install. Also have some Teraflex Rotopax jack mounts that will let me attach Rotopax directly to the hi-lift jack. Not putting those on until the next trip.
Next project is NOCO power...
That's what I was thinking for organization. Future thinking about where you'll get the draws for get togethers or events. Or at least maybe grouping the smaller states together because we tend to attend each other's events and hang out together just due to geography.

Thanks. For the rack lights, from the sPod box, wires are covered in the black flexible wire covering/insulator, and run rearward to the wiper cowl and up next to the A-pillar LED like you can see below. The closest wire is running to the A-pillar light (obviously), the corrugated black wire...
I'm running a CVT Mt. Shasta model. Couldn't be happier with it. The price point came with the zip on side room but I did option for the added skylights because I like to look up at the stars when camping.
Depending on how you want to set up your compressor, you don't need the extra harness for the sPOD. I went tank less and put an adjustable pressure valve on then that eliminated the extra harness and wiring. I have the pressure valve set to about 70 psi normally and I turn it on and let it...
Another short update: So here's the latest toy on the Project Overland build out - the Bluetooth module for the sPOD SE that allows for remote control of all exterior lighting and powered accessories from my iPhone. The intent behind this is with the roof top tent on the Jeep, should I need to...
Geocacher here too! Wish I could do it more often. Went on Black Friday when everyone else was fighting for things that will be obsolete in a year. Found some really innovative ones.
I took a combination of them fuel and water, across the US on my roof laying flat and stacked in the June heat. I didn't completely fill the fuel so that they would expand and that was the largest thing I noticed. I checked them at every stop for leaks. Once I even pulled them down to release...
