Thanks. I have the pins (actually two sets of them by accident) but I'm looking for something like this: http://4x4designs.com.au/product/raptor-racks-maxtrax-mounting-brackets-excluding-mounting-pins/ only without absorbent shipping costs.
(Yes, I just quoted my own post.)
I heard back from the MAOF gatekeeper and he says gates open at 1pm on the 11th. I can't imagine this festival is going to be that crowded being new-ish. Is 1pm at the grocery store too early for folks? Or perhaps gather at 1pm and roll out by 2pm?
No problem. As you'll see, they do make SPODs that don't have the fancy touch screen and are a lot cheaper that do the same thing. Regarding the opening of the hood, if you wanted, you could probably run a connector line from the unit out to an external location so keep that in mind too...
Sounds like we have a decent group that's interested in camping together. I sent Matt (at Mainline Overland) an email asking what time the grounds open so that we might be able to coordinate the time if we want to meet up. I'll post a note if he gets back to me.
Update: He forwarded me to...
Great built thread and I love the attention to detail. I may have missed it but can you talk about how you're mounting the MaxTrax up top? Are they just strapped down or are you using a mounting bracket? I've been look everywhere for something that will work on a Gobi Stealth rack and the...
Welcome fellow east coaster! It's nice to see someone else from the area. I'm just down the road in northern DE. You should check out the Mid-Atlantic Overland Festival if you can as it's not too far away.
I only use my HiLift when there is no other option available - 1 because it's bolted to the back of my JK and I have to get out tools, but 2 because it's unstable and dangerous if you don't watch what you're doing. Unfortunately, since installing my lift, it's the only thing that will lift...
Had BFG All Terrains on a previous Jeep and they were outstanding in all conditions. Had the BFG Mud Terrains on the Rubicon from the factory and they were great offroad, but a little slick in rain. Now my Nitto Trail Grapplers are on and they are a little louder, they pull hard when they...
I'd have to second the Jetboil, It's just so versatile. But I also love my Luci solar lights. I have several for hanging around camp and they're self charging during the day and waterproof and collapsible.
Impressive build. 6 ARB intensity lights.... that was a pretty penny. I was sick to my stomach after buying just two. Great build though, keep it going!
Here you go... First shot is the positioning, driver's side, the ARB compressor mounts on my master brake cylinder. This model comes with a huge wire harness that is designed to be used with the included relay. The relay is used with the (included) pressure switch that will shut the unit off...
+ 1 for the ARB under the hood. I have mine tankless with a variable blowoff valve so that I can run it through the sPod without blowing out the compressor or pulling too much amperage under load. I love it.
SOLD
Due to a mix up on my part, I have an extra stealth limb riser kit for a JK. I didn't realize the one I needed was the Gobi rack version with longer cables to reach the top of the rack.
As you can see from the link below, this retails for $125. It's not in the original packaging because...
Next up, we finally have liftoff! (or should I say lift-on?) Yesterday the AEV 2.5" Dualsport XT went on, with the geometry correction brackets so I don't die from the infamous death wobble. In tandem, I upgraded from the factory Rubicon tires to Nitto 33" Trail Grapplers (295/70/17). I...
