I made a set following these instructions Portable chase lights
Here how mine came out. I used KC rock lights. They’re pretty bright and I used them in Mojave. Folks behind me said they could see me easily through the dust.
1. All of them. Sweet spot is about 2-4 days. Longer is fun too but I do tend to miss my bed and such.
2. Always a work in progress to bring less, but not be without.
3. Mostly solo but I do like a small group too.
4. Both. Sometimes I like taking in the scenery, other times I'm looking...
The end is very different and the Amazon one doesn’t look like I can switch it out.
This what the connections look like on the fire pit. What would happen if I got a 0-20 psi regulator and hose?
The regulator on there says 5PSIG. Do I need to stick with that. The Camco brand is really expensive ($75). I see some on Amazon/Lowe’s/Home Depot but they say 20PSIG on the regulator ($15). Can I use one of those?
Anyone else with a Camco Little Red Campfire or similar? Mine used to work just fine. Tall big flames. Now I barely get a couple inches of flame out of the fire ring. I tightened everything but nothing's changed. Any ideas on what could be wrong? or need fixing? It's been a great little propane...
I'm neither, here nor there about them. They're like stickers - nice when you get one, but I'm not pining to get them. If it all went away tomorrow, I probably wouldn't notice. But every once in a while, I'll see what new sticker I can get.
Has anyone used a desiccant while running their buddy/propane heater? something like this?
I remember using something like this when when our "laundry room" was in the the middle of the house with no venting and our dryer was a giant humidifier. I'm thinking of trying this.
Then it was time to head home. The gpx file was ambitious and we got about 1/3 of the way before the fallen tree zone. But heading back was not without more adventure. We crossed the creeks again, and when we were close to the road much larger trees had fallen needing a tow strap to pull them...
After a night of heavy rain, we made our way NE. Rainbows guiding the way. Several miles later, we finally met our match with about 50+ yards of fallen trees blocking the road. So we went back to a camp we had passed. Thanks to Frank for mulled spiced wine, while we took shelter under a canopy...
Last one of the year is in the books! And what an adventure it was. I think we cleared about 15-20 fallen trees on the way to the camps, and then about 4-5 more in the last 1/4 mile getting back out on the same road. The rain and snow were both challenging and fun.
I want to get a sense of who's going/still wants to go. We've had quite a bit of rain the last couple of days and there is a possibility of more this weekend. This could also mean some snow in sections. The first night camping should be below any snow.
I think we will be stopping and camping at Bear Creek Campground. It's just off the route posted. Keep heading east passed the M3 turnoff. So you can meet us there. I'll have an OB flag up at our site., though I bet we'll be one of the only folks out there.
