Sometimes you just have get out there and take a look. There have been many times that I have hit a locked gate that wasn't on the map, the "road" is a motorcycle track now and not an actual road, the road shows on the map but where I'm looking there is nothing but a drop-off or trees and bushes...
That's a lot of driving in 2 weeks. I think it's easy to underestimate how far things are out here in the western US. For example, it's about a 6-7 hour drive from San Francisco to the Oregon Border depending on traffic and stops. And that's cruising at 70-80mph on the Interstate. The road...
Still working out the details but plan to be at the Expo Saturday. Still on the fence about getting their Friday night nearby, or get a room nearby and just go for the day on Saturday, or camp there Friday and Saturday and get the weekend pass. Guess I should figure this out. lol
I updated the rally point with the October Mojave Trail Guardian date.
Also next month, I was thinking of moving the meet-up date to the 22nd. I can't make it on the 15th. Does that work for folks?
Pretty much this. I would also add a fuse box and plug/switch panel. Need to access that power somehow. I just installed a system in my truck camper. There's also the plug and play systems which have done all the work for you. I went modular because if 1 piece goes bad, the whole thing doesn't...
I'm not an electrician, but I just finished installing my system last night so can kind of make out what you have here. Are your 2 batteries connected in any other way, like in parallel? or just via the busbar? It seems like you have 2 separate systems here. But take what I'm saying with a huge...
Welcome! We have a small but active group here in the North Bay. They are actually on their way to Usal Beach and the Lost Coast this weekend! I, unfortunately, couldn't make it this weekend. We have monthly 3rd Saturday meet-ups on Rohnert Park. Check out the Rally Points for more info.

Usal Beach and Usal Road are about the only off-road driving in that area along the coast. Check out the Lost Coast 4x4 Trail at OTG. If you can pop over to Ukiah, there is Cow Mountain OHV and you're relative close to Snow Mountain NM and Mendocino NF, but then you're definitely not on the coast.
That was fun. I’m it would be a lot less fun on the trail, but finally got to try out the tire repair kit. Harder than I thought it would be. Reaming is the key. But it seems to work!
I've been having an issue the last couple of weeks where I can't seem to read private messages. The app freezes up when I try and open a private message. When I tap "Messages" it's very slow to list them, but then when I tap the message to read it nothing happens and I sometimes can't even get...
Welcome! We have regular monthly meet-ups every 3rd Saturday of the month in Rohnert Park. This month we will be learning how to repair a punctured tire. Mixed in all that are trips planned by local members too. Hope to see you there...
I'm very sorry. She looked like a great trail buddy. As a friend once told me when I lost a pup, "They give us some of our best days, and one of our worst." It's that unconditional love thing they do that wrecks us every time.
