Welcome to OB, have fun and enjoy the wild areas you can access with the vehicle. Ive been watching 4wd Action on youtube and I think I should take some of the slang and merge it into Canadian language just to confuse people
Eureka Catskills table is nice depending on how much workable space youre looking for. It packs nice and small but is probably 60% of the size of a picnic table. If you have more space in your vehicle a traditional folding leg table will have much more table top space but take up much more space...
Definitely something BPA free or some other certification for food grade etc etc... the rinse every so often w ith a mxture for 6:1 water to bleach and swish it around works for many food grade containers as well as soft sided water bottles (used for camping and backpacking)
I just picked up a Yeti Tundra 45 and was wondering the same sort of questions. The whole exploding can thing leads me away from dry ice especially if im not planning to be gone for more than a few days. The better coolers these days seem to keep ice longer so I don't see a huge benefit to dry...
I use a Big Agnes fly creek UL 2 and it weighs less than 1 kilo. They come in a 3 person version to give a little more space; they offer other trim packages ill call them that can be a little less expensive but weigh a little more.
It can be a little tricky to figure out what will work. If the rack manufacturer provides lots of info look into the dynamic weight rating versus the static weight rating. (What it can carry while on the move vs when parked and no other external forces are at play.)
Im no jeep expert but theres...
Where I am there arent a ton of trails so I want to try and do whatever I can to maintain the ones we do have and hopefully encourage more to open.
Other than responsible use and cleaning up after ourselves what else can we do?
I learned from 4wd action on youtube that bar soap is a quick hack for various leaks like oil and fuel. In an ideal situation I imagine flex seal would be killer. I like the preventative thought of it. Although i might just use some form of bedliner for the strength aspect.
I think most people here will preach maxtraxx but theres lots out there that could suit your needs. Depending on trails you frequent and how much you may use them would dictate how much money Im willing to spend on them.
I like packet foods but often theyre crazy high on the salt. I bought a dehydrator and began making my own trail meals. Beef and pasta makes a good combo.
Burmis Outdoors does a 2-3 person tent for 1900cad or a 3-4 person tent for 2300 cad. After the exchange rate you could add the $450cad annex and be within your budget.
