    East Meet Up

@MuckSavage is exactly right! Set it up however you want @Tuck1562 and share it in the Facebook group. Just know that 'events' held in a state forest like BESF unfortunatly require a permit. The limit used to be 10 vehicles but I believe that was reduced to 3 or 4 on a trail at the same time.

    Subaru Owners Registry

Here's my take on the two. The potential exists for branches to swipe a mag mount off your vehicle. Meanwhile its simple to remove an antenna from a hard mount if the need were to arise. They also make hard mounts that tilt manually or automatically if you feel fancy.

I prefer Primitive because I’d rather install 2 smaller plates and only have to drop 1 when I change the oil vs 1 giant plate.

    Looking for the NEPA Folks

I've been encouraging Subaru driving members to find their local chapter but it mainly runs one direction. Unfortunately I'm working the 27th so I won't be in attendance. Busy busy busy would be my theme for 2019 but it would be good to see a lot of the guys again. This is for you and anyone...

    Another Subaru Build Thread

Verbiage aside, this is a common issue on Subaru’s with aftermarket springs installed. Without enough weight the rear isn’t compressing so it essentially hops around over bumps.

    Another Subaru Build Thread

I’ll tell you what it’s going to do... its going to ride like a dream haha. The whole point of springs is to carry the weight of the vehicle. The higher spring rate of your RalliTEK springs is intended to support additional weight every single day. They will absolutely ’soften’ a little as they...

    Another Subaru Build Thread

This is what I would have said @ca_rage. Stock struts are fine and higher spring rate Kings are definitely not the answer since you're not carrying enough weight to work the springs now. Another contributing factor is how old are the springs? The unsettled feeling is undoubtedly from the rear...

Welcome, Overland Bound Region - East

I’m even closer to Ricketts than my location suggests. It’s the most visited state park and the main reason for that is all the waterfalls but that’s certainly not the only reason to visit. The beach on Lake Jean is also a popular destination in the park. If you want to go swimming the lake will...

bald eagle state forest or Allegheny national forest

Ideally both @Mitch65 but if I had to choose it’s an easy one. Don’t get me wrong ANF is great. There are definitely things to see and pump jack trails/roads to drive on but BESF is my favorite place in Pennsyltucky. Here’s a link to my thread with routes...

...but it's a Subaru Outback?! Build thread.

Here’s some additional pictures of the S2 Pros. You can see how the ADF bracket is unique by the way they angle outwards. Here’s a better picture of the light output and the wide angle @WhatTheZo And lastly a picture showing just one light mounted on the back. More than enough light for...

...but it's a Subaru Outback?! Build thread.

The night I aimed my front lights I snapped this picture. Not the best but it may give you an idea. I went with wide cornering to cast light at a wider angle but am a big fan of work or scene lights for area lighting. That’s what I have on the back and sides.

...but it's a Subaru Outback?! Build thread.

Congrats on your new Outback! G015’s are definitely a modest AT tire but the weight savings are greatly increased when you factor in rotational mass. Braking and accelerating for example. I honestly never found them to be loud in any way which is what I expected from that tread pattern...

US East OB Founding Member Meet Up - OB#500 or under ONLY, special invites will also be available upon approval

I would absolutely be interested in attending but the date could make or break that. Assuming that 'staff' makes up for my 37 over cutoff haha.

    Supreme gas...

It boils down to variable valve timing. If your vehicle has it, preferably on both intake and exhaust cams, you will benefit slightly. I can go into how octane ratings impact detonation but it’s not important. Variable valve timing is all that matters. If you don’t have it and your vehicle was...
