I find the G015 and Wildpeaks to be fantastic in the rain and snow but just as I think the only shortcoming with the G015 is mud, for the Wildpeaks its ice. Pick your poison haha.
I had heard the same grumblings about the K02 and didn't have a hard time believing them. I never went back to BFG...
Welcome to Overland Bound and welcome to the East region Anthony. Love the truck! I intentionally avoid the dealership because I know I'd leave with one haha. If you ever have any questions feel free to ask!

Most recently we loaded up the Outback for our annual family vacation to the Outer Banks. Managed to get out on the sand 3 days which was awesome. It had been so hot and dry so the sand was super soft. The first day I was out there were dozens of stuck vehicles all over the place. The 3rd day...
So just a quick update.. The wagon was on a couple month hiatus after meeting an expensive deer and then being introduced to the worst body shop I could ever imagine. I hit the deer the morning of 04/18 and I had to swing by a different body shop this morning for pictures because it still isn’t...
Welcome to Overland Bound Nate! I’m glad you found your way here. I see you already found the registry so that saves me a copy/paste haha. Looking forward to seeing some of your OSCO adventures as well as perhaps a build thread.
I hit the beach in Corolla NC. The heat was unbearable but when the opportunity came to give my 1 year old a nap time drive I headed straight for 4X4 beach. The Subaru did amazing as always and despite the dozens of stuck vehicles up and down the beach we didn’t have any problems.

Enkei and BBS have been making stock Subaru wheels for +15 years. The nicest/lightest ones being limited to WRX and STi models. Craigslist is usually littered with them but these are, of course, 5x114 car wheels. I don’t know if it’s a common bolt pattern but Nismo Xterra/Frontier are also...
Good information. I’ve used an inreach for nearly 2 years and appreciate you making me think about how to best take advantage of this incredibly useful, potentially life saving, tool.
You assume they have to be expensive. There are OEM forged wheels out there than can be purchased second hand cheap.
In my case the stock wheels on my Outback weren’t going to be the best option because I wanted more sidewall. Since I was buying new, smaller, wheels I went with the biggest...
I've been running nothing but forged, or equivalent, wheels since 2006. Off road, on road, and on the track. I run forged wheels specifically for their weight savings and the fact that they're much stronger than regular aluminum. Coming from track experience the weight savings are definitely...

Welcome to Overland Bound fellow Subaru owner and congratulations on acquiring your Outback @bowserwafer! The 3rd gen will always hold a special place in my heart because I firmly believe it’s the best all around wagon Subaru ever made.
Spacer lifts are the most common way Subaru owners lift...

No problem @Kaiser! I believe I have ~10k on them. I put them on in the fall but had lost almost 2 months of driving on them recently due to an expensive deer and an incompetent body shop. As they drive now they're great in the rain. Wet weather performance is important to me because I live in...
@martin_j001 is correct. I switched from 245/65R17 P rated G015’s to P rated Wildpeaks. The only reason I took off my Yokos was because of questionable timing in regards to winter. I still have them in the basement with 30k miles of wear so they’re still good tires. I had zero complaints about...
