    sPOD vs Switch Pros

Not everyone’s. There’s no need for it and I chose not to do it that way.

"PIGPEN" 2018 forester light build and fun adventures

There’s plenty of fun to be had with it but if it’s your first winter in a newer Subaru there’s some things to understand.. You can turn traction control off but you can’t disable VDC which unfortunately retains some of its control over traction control. Not an issue isolated to Subaru. This is...

    Led Lighting?

The issue you’re referring to with voltage sensitivity is the negative terminal and the reason I asked where it was grounded.

    Portable Jump Pack?

I can assure you it’s a good idea and yes it fits. The only issue is the stock group 25 battery blanket won’t fit the 34... no big deal. I believe you have a 490CCA battery which is a slight improvement from the sad 356CCA one the 5th gen debuted with.

    Led Lighting?

The ‘noise’ isn’t an audible one. Did you ground to the battery or to the chassis?

    Led Lighting?

Not all LEDs are the same. The inexpensive options are 'noisy' and can disrupt CANBUS which in some vehicles is very sensitive.

    Portable Jump Pack?

I know this may sound silly if you're unfamiliar with it but if you're considering a jump pack I'd be replacing the notoriously weak OEM battery first with a group 34. Subaru finally acknowledged this with the 2018 but the newest Outbacks still comes with a battery I'd consider unfit for this...

    sPOD vs Switch Pros

Another vote for Switch Pros here. Love the small size and the fact that it cleans up so much extra wiring without needing anything additional. Only downside was that they released the 9100 right after I installed my 8100... Here are a couple pictures right after my install.

    Led Lighting?

Glad to help! I hope you're able to come up with something to eliminate the remaining glare. Yeah that'll happen. My low beam projectors have an amazing cutoff and I still get flashed on rare occasion. LED lighting is awesome and I'm glad Jeep finally addressed the ongoing issue with an...

    Battery box or dual batteries?

Sorry I do not. I only started using it more recently (expo) and since I'm still playing with the ideas of where I'm going to keep/mount it I haven't taken any. This is the battery box I went with.. http://a.co/d/27CJfR4 The terminals originally intended to be used by a trolling motor are...

    Led Lighting?

A lot to talk about in this thread... The original issue posted was not being able to see in tall grass. The only way to do improve that is lights mounted higher but with that said ditch lights are called that for a reason. I see waaaay too many people with them forward facing and that simply...

    Battery box or dual batteries?

I opted for a stand alone battery box with a 100AH group 27. The wagon is my DD so I like the idea of being able to remove teslas boat anchor to charge/maintain it when it isn't needed. At this point I only run my fridge off of it when I'm sitting and from the vehicle when I'm driving. I charge...

Overland Expo East 2018 Discussion Thread (Not region specific)

Things certainly could have been better @Drifterman but we still had a great time! Preparation made a big difference as did having a good attitude about the mess we were all in haha.
