The G.M. Hummer that should've worked...

I'm pretty sure the re power 2.8 is a US emissions comlpiant ISF. The ISB's are just newer 4BT/6BT motors.

The G.M. Hummer that should've worked...

I'm pretty good keeping super busy with work as it is spring shutdown season. Moving the engine back will help with weight distribution, as I'm sure you're well aware of being an aircraft guy and all.

The G.M. Hummer that should've worked...

Man that thing is going to be nose heavy those BT motors are heavy last I looked i think a fully dressed 4BT was 700lbs, which is similar to the V8 in my truck. But I'm excited to see how it turns out

    2015 Overland/SAR F150

Yes they are ment to slide off objects but sometimes you have all of the vehicle weight on the skid, or youvey dropped onto it falling off another object or into a hole. They may have some forming to add rigidity but that only can only do so much, but it cant compensate for the material being...

    2015 Overland/SAR F150

Too thin material thickness just over 1/8" steel is not going to support a 7000lb truck very well neither is soft 1/4" 5052 aluminum. I know for my truck I plan on using 1/4" or 5/16" AR plate.

    2015 Overland/SAR F150

Both RCI skids for these trucks are too light, but if I was to choose it would be steel because then you can at least easily reinforce them yourself.

    F150 Overland build

Problem with having allthe aftermarket extras is no one wants to pay extra for them. You might have better luck returning it to as stock as possible then selling the truck and parts separate as you will probably get more out of it that way.

    Darthyota's 4Runner Build

Axle is back together now I need to heft it back under the truck once I ream out my steering arms again. Took a little longer then anticipated due to it going from a nice mild -5°c ish to -25°c ish, but its back to being milder out so it makes working in an uninsulated garage bearable, I do use...

What size tires do you plan on running, given that you're going to be running some pretty beefy driveline components?
