Here is my WJ
It has been a great rig for me since having the heads rebuilt (4.7). Not sure why it's not more popular considering its super capable with solid axles and relatively cheap.
I would suggest a 270 degree awning such as the Batwing or for the deep pocketed, the Alu-Cab Shadow Awning. The Shadow does not require stabilizing legs which makes setup a breeze.
In all honesty, if the trailer is not out of the budget, go for it. It will give you options even if you don't use it all the time. I was looking for awhile and eventually came across a great base trailer for <$1000. Now I have options. I have camped more without it since purchasing. Because it...
I was always in that mindset but I started thinking about how much I spend on cars/upgrades on top of the payments and realized I could totally have dedicated rig. Now I have best of both worlds. Got a bastard Jeep, a solid axle WJ Grand Cherokee that is for adventures and my Audi A3 is for...
Check out mirrorless cameras. Sony is killing the newish segment and the future of cameras. Nikon is dragging to get a viable option to market which is now in the leak stages and Canon already gave it a shot and went back to the drawing board.

Looks like an awesome trip! Like the wheels on the Burb, fit it well. Bummer your maiden voyage is the last hurrah lol, but sounds like there is plenty of good days ahead! Cheers
Hey gents, I am an AZ guy but orig from CA.
Looking to run some CA trails in the next two weeks possibly. Any planned trips coming up or anyone interested putting something together? Thinking Big Bear to get some elevation to escape the heat.

I somehow got a notification for an Off The Grid event in the app this morning from 2015. Not realizing it was on old post I got excited reading about the plans for the event. So you can imagine my disappointment after reading through a few pages to only realize it was 3 years ago :(
I can...
