LOL, I was doing some ASSuming. There is an A-Mountain in Tempe as well. I thought as a Tuscon guy you posted a pic of it when UofA had snuck up and painted the A. Yeah, I am more than likely not going to make it. Hope you all have a good meetup!

Southern Arizona Overland Bound Rigs and Coffee Meetup - 10/20/2018

Planning to be there, just want to give everyone a heads up that this is a paid parking lot. You pay by the hour at a kiosk. Doesn't bother me just didn't want anyone to be surprised

    Arizona Overlanders

Sorry if I am being daft, but what time is this? 9am in Tuscon, ends at noon in Tempe at A-Mountain? Or is the meetup time noon at A-Mountain for the non-convoyers? I have a wedding to attend later that afternoon but would love to make it out.

EXPO West May 17-19 2019 from SF Bay Area

I volunteered this last year and 100% expect to do the same next year. It was a great experience and "working" there got me more involved than I would have otherwise. Great experience all around. Though I might camp in General Camping next year. Was really quiet at the volunteer camp..

How to use a Tab E Tablet with GAIA premium, off-grid?

I use a Nexus 7 (2013) that is a wifi tablet that has GPS. Most wifi tablets will not have GPS but every Data enabled tablet will. It is older but it does the job. I am thinking about mounting it into my sun visor full time. Well having it "docked" so that it is removable.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Found a flag in my stash of stickers and have been wanting to do something about the faded ROLA logo on my rack. I had some scrap faux carbon fiber vinyl left so I through that down under as the base

Those vans are so Boss! I want one. Perfect full-time rig IMO. Capable but roomy. Looks like its 4WD too. I don't know about all years but I believe the newer ones require custom 4WD conversion kits.

When do you set up camp?

On those multi-day multi-destination trips, when do you set up camp? Do you keep going until you reach a pre-planned place? Or do you try to setup camp after X amount of Miles, or at X O'clock? As a planner, I usually know where I want to camp each night and sometimes that is a bit ambitious...

    Coffee Set Ups

It was a different brand that I do not recall, but a buddy tossed me one of these in the backcountry of Glacier National Park. Exact same pour over desgin from what I recall. It was tasty for sure. Good dark roast he gave me. But if I recall it was like $3 ea. Tasted fresher than my Starbucks...
