2018 Toyota Highlander XLE - Backcountry Discovery Route Build.

Nice. Are you mainly just trying to increase mileage?

    Non Lethal self protection

My honest-to-goodness truthful things I always carry with me (albeit cliche) are a gut check and fearful anger. I have a hard time 100% believing that I can rely on my ability to grab my preferred choice of defense and use it effectively. My dad was an officer and headed up a crime scene...

    Texas Expo 2022

I'm planning on going. I didn't go to the Texas Avid Outdoors one this year since it was kinda lackluster before. This one seems to have gained traction and support from the main Overland Expos which should help it bring in vendors. Crossing fingers.

The End is the Beginning is the End

Sometimes thinning out the projects can give you a spark and sense of renewed excitement in having accomplishable goals. Instead of doing ALL the maintenance and upgrades, I'll just take on the fun one or the expensive one and outsource the rest. It keeps it enjoyable without overburdening my...

    Any minimalists?

I would say I'm a big fan of minimalism, especially when it comes to rigs. Mine has only a small lift, slightly larger tires, and a good bumper with a winch. Other than that, I can't imagine what else I would ever need. I built up a small trailer for all the non-minimalist things I bring for...

The End is the Beginning is the End

So have you sold off the Bronco and Expedition? The Ram looks like a solid base to build on. I see a Rhino rack. Could that fit on top?

    91 Montero Ls v8 Swap

Time & kids do not mix. It's like a time-warp where everything slows down and speeds up at the same time. Also, your body hurts. Good luck getting back on the project. I haven't started ANY project in the two years since my daughter was born.

Help needed on 2016 Range Rover Sport SE build

I'm not sure of any extensive or existing aftermarket support but I know tires and a small lift can make a world of difference. Do you really need full armor for this build?

    2003 Grand Cherokee Laredo

Love the wheel choice and tire combo. Looks great! Adventures look fun too.

Starting F-150 build for big national park trip

Looks like a great time! The lower rack looks clutch to maintain some sort of mileage with all the gear loaded.

    2017 Jeep JK Rubicon Recon

4.10s with 34s (285/75/17) is what I'm running now and it's not bad but the mentioned downshift into 3rd at high revs is alarming especially when you have another few minutes to get up over the hill. @OTH Overland , what exactly did you do to your transmission? Was a custom shop that did this...

    Don't be "that guy"

I... I don't think you read anything I wrote. I responded to your comments in your quote above. I agree with @DintDobbs that this thread is meaningless without the OP's video.

    Don't be "that guy"

Agreed... unless we start seeing non-targeted animals getting hit off in the distance. Although I grew up hunting, I'm not a fan of maiming for fun or by a reckless accident. This thread would be a lot more clear if the OP did just post the video.
