After sitting in my basement for over a year, I finally got off my arse and finished carpeting the cargo drawers. Now, I just need to finish the battery box...Yeah, I know, I need to fix the carpet seam, that's low on the list...rare (almost unicorn status) parcel cover will also come out so I can stack more crap on top of the drawers. I'll leave it in when I'm around town, but I'll remove it when I bug out.

Went and worked on my prototype lightbar brackets for 2nd Gen trucks and 4runners.

I'm looking for your opinions and feedback for my lightbar brackets that I've been working on.
These are designed to work with a 42" lightbar and clamp around the drip rail so there is no drilling required.

Helped out a fellow overland member by letting him use my driveway for an oil change. Being a land cruiser guy I only heckled him a little about his Jeep. All in good fun of course. Hope to meet up with him sometime on the trail.

Great to meet you @scubasteve2002
Thanks again! It was great to meet you. Hahaha I guess a little bit of heckling is what I deserve owning the ultimate soccer mom mobile. Can't wait to get some trail time in.

I added this same post to the Morale Patch thread too.

Put on two Overland Bound patches with my member number on them.
I am not going to keep them both up there since I have a black & white one already without my member number on it.
Will probably keep the yellow one up there.

It is getting harder to photograph them now with the big lens on my Canon T5i Rebel.

Dang, I paid $450 for mine! :grinning::grinning:
I paid $450 for mine in May, installed it in June, ran it underwater for the first time last Sunday. Worked great till I ran out of battery (engine was stalled due to waterlogged electronics). Then it blew the little fuse in the control box (which also started out underwater, but was above water when it blew). Interestingly, Smittybilt decided to go with a small glass fuse like what you find in some electronics. I couldn't find one anywhere around here. I ended up replacing the fuse holder with a mini-blade style in a weatherproof housing. Finally got the winch line wound back up today. It has been coiled up in the back seat for the last week.

IMG_7952.JPG IMG_7954.JPG Before running some errands today I decided to do a little upkeep on the truck. One of the upper coolant hoses has a shiny spot on it from the sagging hood insulation. So it was time to pull it out for good this time (it was a used replacement). This will give me a better mounting surface to finally add some LED lighting under the hood.

Cool, let's get to those errands!
