I'm in the tri cities also. We used to wheel all around Walla walla back in my younger days.

Also almost everything North of I-84 is still snowed in... Mt Emily has almost 10pm along summit road... still snow on Fox Hill... and almost had to pull a guy out at Spout Springs Yesyerday (Westin-Tolgate HWY)

Hey Dustin, FWIW I like the tubing shape. Couple of questions pop into my head. How are you going to treat the end of the tube work? Are you going leave the area between the tubes open or fill the area to hide/protect the sheet metal behind it? Perhaps a filler between the two tubes with drilled holes (choice of size) to add the desert flair? Just random thoughts, keep up the good fab.

When I joined they were in the 2800’s. I was living in Wyoming at the time and so I thought 3030 (Winchester) would be a fun #, so yeah I did pick it. I used to go by Wyoming Overland.

For now I capped the end of the tubes with a piece of plate that also ties them together. I'll probably end up building a filler plate like you said between the tubes with dimple died holes, just haven't decided if I want to put lights in the plate or not. For now I'm just going to rattle can it that way I can get it 100% mounted with the winch, from there I can stand back at see what I want to do with it. Once I get it where I'm happy I can throw it in the sand blast cabinet to get the spray paint off and I'll probably rhino line it.

Not sure if I mentioned earlier but the shackle mounts and wings are bolt on so I can easily pull them off if I want to change things up or if I ever wad one up by hitting something.

The shackle mount looks really beefy. It should work well. That’s a really nice looking bumper.

Sounds like a good plan. I know we are so done being cooped up. We went to play in the mud at hover today to get out a little! Ended up rescuing some kids in a tahoe that managed to get high centered in the mud.
The were amazed my little montero could drag their big old Tahoe from the deep mud....lol.

Still have some buttoning up to do, but there's a first look. The winch sits in there really tight and it goes back together like a jigsaw puzzle. You can see I got a little carried away trimming the grill for the clutch release good thing I have another grill at home, I can give a version 2.0. I'll run it like this until I figure out what i want to do for filler plates and lights

I can't take all the credit, the center section that holds the winch and radiator support are a kit from trail Forged. I just did the tube wings

The Montero is a lot more capable than people give them credit for. Much like the Isuzu Trooper, the Montero never got the following of the aftermarket like other brands of off road vehicles, but they have a good worldwide rep for getting the job done, even in stock form.
