I might have put the cart before the horse and bought bigger tires before I knew they would clear... Went with a 285/70R17 which is 33"x12", now that doesn't sound very big but it is for a WJ with only 3" of lift. After trimming the front fenders it seemed like a good idea and with a little more work they'll fit nicely. I did get the trim job on the rear finished and the 33 fits surprisingly well in the back, tucks nicely inside the fender before it bottoms out on the inside of the wheel well. Probably will need minor bump stop extensions in the rear to keep from tearing up a tire. As it sits right now the fronts will rub at full lock when flexed, I think a set of adjustable control arms will fix that. Picture was taken with Front sway bar connected and Factory rear sway bar in place (I got an addco HD for the rear not installed)

BTW I got a set of Maxxis Razr MT in 265/70R17 with only about 1200 miles on them if someone is looking for tires...

For sure! Let me know when it looks like you're going to have a free weekend and we'll get something planned, I'm down to go whenever. We could head to the Blues and see whats open or up Naches direction. Day trip or weekend camping I'm always interested in getting out. It's usually just me, the wife and dog so it would be nice to get out with other people.

I have plans the weekend of the 27th, but I think I'm free the weekend of the 20th if you want go then. I've been wanting to get up in the Blues and see if the snow is gone, we could head to Dayton and see if we can make it all the way south on Skyline. Let me know if that week end works and we can talk details, day trip on Skyline or camping with Skyline and some exploration

It dumped 2 more inches of snow up at Tollgate yesterday morning and was still snowing at noon. We couldn’t make it to Jubilee Lake from 204.

Good to know. I talked to someone that was there 2 weeks ago and they said if you turned off of NF 64 and took Old Skyline rd up toward Mottet camp ground you could make it farther in. They just got turned back by drifts in the shaded spots. I guess we'll just have to see what we get for weather in the next couple weeks. From my limited experience with the area this seems to be about when it starts to open up around there. But if it looks like it is going to be snowed in still there is plenty to explore out Naches direction.

I’ve been snowed out after the 4th of July before... it looks like this year might be one of those years...I have been trying to get to the Mt Emily towers for 4 weeks to fix a repeater up there without any luck... every time the snow melts down enough, it dumps more on us.

No snow at top of Bethel Ridge anymore (today), Tucquala Lake has three water crossings as of last weekend. Tried both ends of Skyline a couple of weeks ago, too much snow yet, soon I hope. Sorry, been buried with work projects lately, run to the trails whenever I get a break. First four are going to/ at Tucquala, last two are from Bethel Ridge today.25EF4019-4917-4B06-BFD0-B912626AB3A2.jpeg2A5942CB-ADB5-43E5-9085-5E60FBE59626.jpeg

Thanks Lou, the water crossings look worse than they are, usually 8-12 inches deep, the first being deepest and fastest cross current stops the less adventurous ones. Fairly flat 12 miles of dirt going in from pavement end. Lots of washboard and potholes, airing down would be recommended for those with a compressor to smooth the ride. You start in at Cle Elum and drive to the fork for Salmon La Lac then follow the dirt road to the lake. Good sized “ primitive” campsites that can support multiple vehicles for most. There are some side trails to explore. There are also guide a few sites along the river on the way there if you prefer river to lake camp.
