Well here comes the newest mod for my girl.... Put our deposit on a 24 gallon "Long Range America" auxiliary fuel tank and it will be here in September. This will give us a total of 47 gallons in the two fuel tank and 10 gallons in Gerry cans. With this amount of available fuel I'm estimating about a 600 miles cruising range!!!

Stand by for the finished product....

I watched a couple videos on the tank with the first going into Lifestyle Overland’s Rig. Who will do the install? It looks complex.

A guy in Stockton, they deliver the tank to him and then he does the install

that trailer looks awesome! Are you moving the tent to the trailer and getting it off of the roof?

Trailer comes with it's own hard top RTT (tent). Then we'll remove the tent from the truck, that will dump 85-90 lbs from the 4Runner.

Yeah I think you are right my friend. The only other thing, suspension wise I'll probably have to address is the lower control arms! Due to my girls current weight, probably need to replace the OEM LCA's for something stronger.... Going to try and figure out how I can get into a set of Total Chaos expedition series LCA's.... Although $2,200.00 ouch, but better to spend the money and change them rather than have them break out on the road and have to replace them out there.

Oh and I want to upgrade to a big break kit, again due to her weight.

Amazing build. I love it. Also love seeing all the different ways people take 4runner's, so capable and my vehicle of choice. Awesome score on the patriot camper. They are definitely cream of the crop. I think personally I'm looking at the off grid expedition for the off road tear drop but the patriots are sick. Oh and its been over a year since the post so I'm sure you have found already that the trans/transfer/front diff breathers are already extended into the engine bay.

Yeah the rear diff breather was done a long time ago, but still need to do the front, trans and T-case... Those are actually already located fairly high in engine bay but I do want to extend them a little more.

The wife and I are going to be transitioning to a full time life on the road, in 10 months, 17 day, 21 hours and 36 minutes (But who's counting). When we decided on the retirement plan we started building our rig and researching trailers. While at Expo last year we were able to actually put our hands on a lot of trailers and in the end our short list came down to the Patriot Camper and the Turtle Back Expedition. After seeing them in the flesh, so to say hands down we liked the Patriot Camper better.

I liked the lower center of gravity much better, it had way more storage space and being that this will be our home for the 5 years or more lets face it "We're going to be comfortable."

Thanks for the compliments on my girl..
