Hi Everyone,
Keith here, super excited to finally jump on board Overland Bound community.

I live in Anaheim, CA one exit away from Disneyland.
I have a 2018 Toyota 4 Runner.
I just have mild off roading experience and regular tent camping.
Hope to learn from everyone in the community and also share my experience as well.

Hello Overland Bound Friends!

Im Jed. Been watching Overland Bound on Youtube for a while now trying to get more ideas to expand my horizons and not just think of my truck as another vehicle. I am fairly new to overlanding/off road activities but i have tent camped multiple times before.

I purchased my 2006 Tacoma PreRunner 4x2 back in November and have only started keeping up with maintenance and replacing key essential parts to keep her running smooth. I did purchase some pod lights and a camper shell but my favorite part is the Livery. Im a big fan of Jurassic Park and so, I got the Jurassic World livery as a tribute the G Wagon from the movie.Cant wait to meet you all.20200411_134122.jpg

Hi Alvin, welcome! Is that photo Prewitt Ridge, Big Sur? Looks awesome. I am the Bay Area member rep and I can help connect you to meet ups that are happening near you. In Pleasanton CA there is a meet up on the second Sunday’s of the month and it has a great regular turn out and active. The Tri-Valley (Pleasanton) group has number of plans already laid out for June through November. Our next meet up will be June 14th, HOPEFULLY in person! But the Zoom meetings have been good as well.

Picked up my '00 4Runner from a guy last year that had every intention on doing what I am now, but had too big of a family for this truck to work. I'm no stranger to the outdoors, but this is my first go at a vehicle-based setup. My girl and I are new to the PNW from FL as of last May and haven't had much of a chance to get out until now. Any advice is more the welcomed, as my off-road experience has primarily been with 4wheelers, dirt bikes, and MTB's.

The plan is a 20" Fiberine top and 4x4 conversion. So far all I have got done is getting the floor ready for spray liner, insulation, etc. Going to complete that project this weekend, if the weather cooperates.

I'm a little experienced, started with a Jeep Comanche in '87. Ran around Cripple Creek and Victor Colorado every weekend. I've had some kind of 4x4 ever since.
