If it were not for the Adopt-A-Trail program I know the San Bernardino National Forest would look the same way.
Those problems are everywhere. The solutions (or lack thereof) are what vary from place to place.
Bummer. It looks like my vehicles are all at least 10 years too old for this to apply.
Looks like it could be pretty useful for owners of new vehicles.
Enjoy more cigars and wisk(e)ys.
IOW, smoke and drink more than last year.
For the past decade or so I have kept my resolution not to make resolutions, so this is a break in tradition for me.
I could not agree more.
Funny thing, a few years back I posted a pic of The Varmints changing a tire on a trailer on the trail. The response? "HOW UNSAFE!!" I suspect that is why so few kids know how to do anything useful. Everyone has their hands tied trying to be safe. It is always...
There are too many variables.
It is not just how far you are moving, but how much you need to move, and how much of what.
There are some things that movers simply will not move. There are some things that cannot be replaced if the movers damage them. There are some things that I just would...
Not really. They aren't interested in maintaining what they have already sold. Their goal is to sell another car. And they view the mechanics' shops as the enemy. Just look into the "right to repair" battle. That one has been going on for decades. The name "stealership" has been earned.

I hope you have found a good shop. It is hard to find anyone who will work on an older vehicle. Varmint #1 got rear ended in his XJ this summer. Only shop he could find was Maaco. I am not pleased with...
Grubworm understands.
Tundra--that bit you snipped off the front in order to quote me was actually essential to the point. I go to the stealership intending to buy the part. They flat out do not have the part. And "do not have the part" means the brand does not have the part. The best I can...

And buy spare vehicles for parts donors.
And periodically go to the junkyard just to collect spare parts you don't yet need.
At least that is the system that works for me.
Newest...
The important thing to know about insurance is "the house always wins".
I give them as little money as I possibly can.
As Grubworm pointed out, they give no one any benefit for having been a loyal customer. Shop around for good rates. Talk to insurance companies and talk to brokers who have...
