Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
The pack out stuff is amazing, but oh my, is it spendy.
Im not sure I want to spend that much. I'm actually heading to Lowe's today to get a versastak box to put my diesel heater in.
My Frontier is my daily, and it wasn't purchased for the purpose of running trails. That's what the X is for.
That being said, I'm actually quite impressed with what a stock pro-4x can do.
Honestly? Not really. I've had them in mud, rocks, and they've been great. Nice and quiet on the road. Are they the best tire out there? Probably not, but they've held up just fine. I also have the E rated version.
You could always sell one of the kids! You may get more for the camper though. Depends on the buyer.
Also, pics would help you tremendously.
Of the camper...not the kids.
Jealous. My '13 Frontier on 32s gets about 16.8 avg, I can do about 18 if I'm doing purely highway and no trailer.
My 03 X..... Probably about 12. Oh well. I love it anyways.
Unfortunately, I don't know anyone in need a clean 2wd Chevy.
I'm sure you have a preference regarding tires, but I run Kenda Klever AT2's on my X, and Discount Tire's Pathfinder AT's on my Frontier, and I'm very happy with both tires.
It's sort of a never-ending project. Using it from Memorial day of last year, all the way through November, I definitely thought of some modifications/improvements that need to be done to make it work even better.
I will say, it would appear that my tail lights have been officially fixed on...
We have two fridges. Our 40L sits in the living room, behind the couch, when we're not camping. It has beverages in it as well.
The 30L was used as an overflow fridge during the holidays.
It more or less made sense. Are you sure the tabs and flatbar will be strong enough to hold during a pull? I'm not interested in putting a big steel bumper on my X (mileage is bad enough, and I don't want all that weight up front, requiring new torsion bars).
If it's strong enough though...
With Nissan getting ready to likely kill the Titan, I doubt the situation will improve all that much, unfortunately. You're likely going to have to get creative and have something fab'd.
Modification plans for the trailer this year are as follows:
1. Flip the axle.
2. Fit 31x10.5r15 tires under there
3. Replace doors with rv style baggage doors
4. Figure out a way to mount an awning to the trailer (more on this later)
5. Cut and install the rest of the trim (including drip...
