Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I managed to get the towing Relays into my '13 Frontier. I now have running lights on whatever I'm towing with that vehicle.
I also replaced the light harness and tail lights on the trailer. Just need to re-secure the wires inside the trailer.
That tread pattern looks suspiciously like the Michelin Defender all season. My 2013 had a set of those when I bought it a couple of years ago. They did surprisingly well in dirt and rocks.
I basically did the same thing, only I just decided to use the built in thermostat. I went with a lower amperage pad, that switches on at about 35-37 and should shut off at about 50 F. I tested it in the freezer, and dit seemed to work well. I wired an inline switch with my pad, so that I can...
Unfortunately, I was unable to test mine over the weekend. About two miles after leaving my house, my Xterra started peeing transmission fluid out of the cooler lines, ending our trip before it even started. I may just go out and sleep in the tent over the weekend in the driveway to test out the...
Honestly, I've found that they don't really need much, as they're already very capable. A little bit of lift and some good tires seems to be all they need. At least in my experience.
I started spewing trans fluid out the trans cooler lines while heading out on a trip.
Needless to say... No trip has been had, and I get to spend tomorrow fixing the Xterra. Hooray!!
It worked on my tablet, but I've not tried again on my phone. Let me give it another shot.
**EDIT**
It seems to be working now on my phone as well. Maybe it takes a few minutes after adding the GPX to be able to download it.
Another suggestion I'd like to make is the ability to store the downloaded maps on an external SD card on Android. Most Android phones don't have a ton of built in storage, and and it gets filled up pretty fast.
HUGE improvement, and a big upgrade to usability!!
It seems to have cached my maps, but I seem to have an issue downloading it directly. I get the following error:
Little green robot all the way over here. I'd be happy to try out the apk, unless you think the bugs will be squashed before the weekend. Then I can wait.
Man, I really want to like the app, but I find it very counter intuitive. I'm sure it'll get there at some point, but at the moment, I find it unusable.
My biggest issue is I can't seem to find a way to just import a gpx track, without attaching it to a rally point (which I don't want to do...
I'm actually headed out to that area this weekend. Gonna spend some time scouting possible camp sites for a future trip I'm planning as well. I've not spent much time on that side of the canyon, so it should be interesting.
I haven't installed (or recieved them yet), but I purchased some 12v heating pads for my battery, water tank, and propane tank.
I plan on doing some camping over the winter, but didn t think about heating these things when I built the trailer.
I heading out on a trip next weekend, so it'll...
I've not received it yet.... But I ordered an Auxbeam 5D light bar (the one with the spot pattern), and a zoleo this morning. As well as a few other bits and bobs.
I built a power breakout box that lives in my rooftop tent. The power cord runs to my fuse block in my trailer, through a solar cable gland in the roof of my trailer.
It has 3 cigarette sockets, and 3 dual usb qc sockets. We use it to power two cpaps, and charge two phones and my daughters...
