Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Riding family here.
I ride a Transition Bandit or a custom Vulture hard tail. Here's are rig loaded with bikes!
Lots of riding in Reno/Tahoe. I rode the Carson City off Road race this spring and then have been pretty lazy since then.

Don't know Ellis Peak, but IN Reno the Hunter Lake Trail might still be open. Also Lagomarsino Petroglyphs will be passable if it isn't too wet.
Also There's a quartz crystal mine and a fire lookout just out of Verdi that is fun/easy.

Going to get one in the morning when Napa opens.
SOOOOOOOOOO lucky this happened where and when it did. Would have been tragic on the freeway.
Was just in 4 Wheel parts too. They said it was a little loose but should be fine. Fuck those guys. I told them I was having some brake steer. Since...
Sounds good. Hard to tell how many are going, but we might have to double up if there are any others out there, which I wouldn't expect there to be. Last week was fall break for school kids.

If we can't find something stupid to do that I can film then we are all failures as men. Plus there's that spot near Yerington we could hit that has some more options. Ludwig Ghost Town Trail.

Things you might...
I can't recall the simplex frequency people generally use for off-roading. The Repeater system has multiple nodes so you'll have to check that link to find the right one.
Sinclair at 9 will work. I'm down unless something comes up. Will be me in my 4Runner and my son at least.
For Hams, here's the local repeater system. It's linked so connect to any of them and you're good.

Front Runner and Rhino have options for a flat rack in any width I think. Just pick something close to average.
How much stuff do you have to have strapped to the outside of your truck for it to be considered an Overlander? Does a SkyBox count?
I have a standard 3 gallon aquatainer that is good for a couple of days.
Also use a 10 liter MSR Dromedary bag. That is nice since it takes up very little space when empty and you can hang it up and use it as a sun shower.
I recently bought a Stanley 2 gallon adventure water jug and mounted...
