    What Stage Are You?

My Willys is stage 5-6 and done. It's able to do anything I want to do so now I spend money on maintenance, gas and tires so I can go explore.

Newbie. What would you add to my truck?

I find a wench extremely useful while traveling. My winch is useful every once in a while too.

What should be the first mod

Sounds like you have a fairly well set up Jeep. I think that your first mod should be a weekend trip. See what you don't have that you want to have and what you have you can do without. Don't get too wrapped up in what you or someone else thinks or says you need. Just get out enjoy the...

    Wagoneer

Nice looking Wagoneer, love the Rhino grill too! More details, what do you have in it? I've got a 77 waiting for me to do something with it next to the shop.

Newbie. What would you add to my truck?

Looks like a nice full size pickup truck. It sounds like it's just you and your dog, so grab a cooler, Coleman stove, skillet, plate, knife and fork, something to sleep in/on, dog food and toys, lots of water and go for a weekend. Make a few notes of what you want to add for the next trip...

    Full Sized Spare

I have several good ( to me at least) reasons I don't like the spare under the truck. 1) if you've ever had to change a tire on asphalt in the summer where the road surface is 140+ you know it's not fun 2) same in the winter with the spare half buried in ice water and everything frozen solid 3)...

    Winter Field Day

That would be nice but there's not a prayer in hell of that happening, not to mention it would be a 110 mile round trip in snow and high winds.

    Winter Field Day

My club was going to set up on Sat but the weather is going to be snow, 8-15* and 20-45 MPH do we're going to pass on setting up. We already launched 3 antennas and 2 table sized umbrellas this summer so we're skipping the winter version.

    What could you give up

Over the years I started with a plate and cast iron skillet and moved on to a ton of kitchen stuff. I'm down to a comfortable amount of stuff that works for me.

My favorite breakfast joint in AZ

Instead of the Bisbee breakfast club try Mornings in Warren, Michas in Tucson for killer machaca, Skillets in Chino Valley are some great places for breakfast in AZ.

    who likes bacon :)

Bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, BACON!!!! A bacon with bacon and egg sammich can't be beat. It's even better with bacon on the side. When I was a young guy I thought the one pound packages of bacon were a single serving along with a half dozen eggs.

    venison

If I'm cooking venison (elk or deer) over a fire all I do is let it warm to room or outside temperature rub coarse salt and pepper in and grill it medium rare. Otherwise I mix it with potatoes, onions, peppers and whatever else is handy and cook it. Then either roll it in tortillas or just...
