    Sedona/ Grand Canyon

I live about 40 miles south of the Grand Canyon and know a lot of great places you can camp near the south rim. The north rim will be closed until the middle of May.

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

I bought an 08 JKUR to get out and explore with. I was half way home (62 miles) when a connecting rod escaped through the side of the block. I'm waiting on my new long block and assorted pieces to get here so I can put the new engine in. I did get some new tires and wheels for it while it's...

Rant - Studying not going well for my General

I had one gal in my Tech class with the same problem. After trying all kinds of things I finally suggested that she go to the test questions on the back of the book. She highlighted the correct answer and blacked the others out. That way when she went through the questions only the correct...

    Question about Line-x

All I did with mine was to sweep it out. The Line-X guy cleaned, scuffed and shot it. It's been great for 25+ years now.

    ICECO

I've been using 2 ICECO fridge/freezers for a couple of years now. I haven't had any problems at all with either of them. I'd buy another with no hesitation. The compressors have a 5 year warranty on them not 1 year like most of the other ones.

water tank? Anyone using a rather large water tank on their DIY built trailer?

I guess the first question I have is what does a rather large tank mean to you? I have a 22 gal under the frame on my little yellow trailer, a 52 gal in my tent on wheels (camper) and 850 on the trailer I haul water on.

Rant - Studying not going well for my General

I tell the people that take my clubs Technician or General classes that in addition to the book go to either QRZ.com or ARRL.com and take the FREE practice tests over and over. Once they're in the 90% range the test is a piece of cake.

    My First FJ40

If it was mine I'd pull the spark plugs and squirt a couple of ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil in then let it sit a day or so. Next I'd put a socket on the crank bolt and see if it moves a little bit in either direction. Add a couple more ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil and let it sit another day or...
