Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I've spent several nights in a tent with my ~65 lbs Golden, and I recommend getting as large a tent as is reasonable. For just me and her I used a 3 person tent, and I wouldn't want it any smaller than that.
I took her water bowl and put it on a waterproof tarp so if it spilled it wouldn't...
Yeah I finally tested it out tonight and after some re-adjusting it's great! I got the Rigid E2 Combo, and I'm really glad I did, it's a great combination of really far out in the middle while illuminating the sides up close.
I got my light bar installed this morning, can't wait to test it out tonight!
Finding a good spot to put the switch was a bit of a pain, but I think it turned out alright.
I would definitely check out Zion National Park, and/or Bryce Canyon, both are amazingly beautiful.
Another gorgeous place is Monument Valley, absolutely breathtaking views.
My friend runs them and he says the advantage is it's 2 less tires to have to check, as well as the substantial weight savings. He did say however he said that they need the right rims on them to look good. As for ride quality he said that they ride very well, as good as stock.
The bag I have is the Grizzly Whistlers sleeping bag, it is rated down to -40, but weighs a lot (20 lbs). It is extremely comfortable, just a pain to lug around.
That's very useful, I'll have to look into those...
And to rerail this thread, the War Rig looks sweet! Nice to see heavier trucks being used as overland rigs.
My opinion is ditch the top drawer and leave it as a 3 tier; that will allow for extra space if you want to put anything on top of the drawers next to the cooler.
